How would the job suit him?

He's a manager who looking at his time at Spurs wants to and likes to build up his "project". The "project" that would be United would be an absolute nightmare for him. Woodward went over the head of Mourinho with the recruitment of players, Poch wouldnt be up for that.

Also, given the fact that Poch has yet to win something the pressure on him from the start wouldn't be attractive to him. Sure, he's due to win something soon however the expectation levels at United would put him off of it.

Have you forgotten about the 27 year project that ended there recently?
They want another Ferguson, who they can trust and invest in. The last 3 have been terrible appointments.
Pochettino, maybe more than anyone else in the business right night is the ideal candidate.

Whatever happens with Poch this has the potential to completely derail our season. Not sure what the club can do about it though. Poch has never come out and outright denied stuff and I don't see him doing that now.

Even if he plans on staying he is doing right by leveraging this interest. Just needs to make sure the players know his true intentions.

I think this all boils down to wether or not Levy intends to or indeed will, back Pochettino with transfer money. It's obvious he's the one they'll want so if he leaves, that'll be the long and the short of it...........In which case Nick Nack can expect a few volleys directed his way.

He has come out and said his focus is on us. Thats all he needs to say right now.

Nothing is going to happen until end of the season, if utd still want poch by then

But let's be honest, how hard is it to categorically draw a line under it?

I think he should do that... Unless he's genuinely interested in going there in the summer.

I think it's potentially very damaging for the rest of our season, and even some of the other players may start thinking as well.

If Pochettino goes, they'll be vulchers around Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Son, Alderweireld etc

If you were cynical you might think that is why Man Utd have done it, even if they intended to hire Zidane or whoever they now can destabilise Spurs for 6 Months in a way they could have never done with a manager in post.

Why would he draw a line under it if it means he got a bit more leverage on Levy re January transfer window?

I can't see why he'd want the Utd job tbh. He's got a terrific project going here and is about to move into one of the best stadia in world football. We're very likely to qualify for CL next year, have some great players, and the future is altogether rosy. If he goes to man utd it will be to Europa League at best, and general loathing and uncertainty. My feeling is he'll want to stick it out until we win something, then move on to his dream job- Real Madrid. It's the only route that makes sense.
While you make strong and valid arguments as to the merits of Poch remaining with us, you can't see why he would want the Utd job only because you are supporter with the obvious sentimental attachment. Poch (imo) will view things Spurs different from you. He might be very fond of the club, but might have a different and personal objective with regards to his managerial aspirations. After all its a job for him and he owes us nothing. I hope you are correct though

Sky sports news. If you don’t laugh you’ll cry.

‘Ole Solskaer is the most Googled name re taking over at Man U but since we started talking about Pochettino not ruling himself out, he’s jumped up to second...........’

He's said he wanted players in the Summer and he's said he wants some in January. It all boils down to that really. If he's backed he'll stay if he's not he'll go imo.

This has the same ring of the redknapp england stories and it derailed our season...
Gutted.....!
Sadly think Poch will go in the summer, Utd want him and can throw everything at him, why wouldn't he go?
I hope I am wrong as Poch goes, we go backwards as he has done wonders at this club and it seems levy has just abused that by what he did this summer
