I dont want him to go but if he does we are now a club that can attract a top manager. No point worrying about it.
Even BBC News at Ten is joining in. Report just now: “Poch is the favourite to succeed Jose.”

Get used to this, it’s gonna be relentless ?

Which is Why Poch has to rule himself out, unless of course he's interested.

I get the leverage angle for transfers but even if Levy fully backed him it's never going to be easy to get that calibre of player in January.

I don't see any upside from the Club's point of view by not publicly drawing a line under this.

It has to be dealt with. The longer it isn't the more of a media frenzy this will be.

Am I worried? Yes. At this point in time, do I think he will go? No.

Man United are an attractive option. The new manager will be given time to rebuild the squad and they have the ability to turn it around quicker than most. However, the pressure that comes with the United job is something else entirely and has seen three managers fail since Fergie. Its turned into a managerial graveyard.

He got a bumper new contract, he has job security and his stock has continued to rise. For that reason, I think its makes sense for him to stick with Spurs for now. He would be concerned with the lack of signings in the summer but he would have been aware of the constraints at the club when he signed a contract extension.

Its now over to Levy. Show him more love, re-sign players, sign players, he must do whatever it takes to keep Poch.

The media will twist Poch's comments and push the agenda for the next 6 months. It will be a challenge for the squad to deal with this and let it not derail our season. Fingers crossed, they are mature enough and can deal with the speculation.

Any decent player talking to us in the TW will be asking for assurances that Poch is staying. Unless they are N’journeymen

Hopefully it doesn’t turn into the Redknapp/England fiasco where every press conference just turned into questions about England. IMO Poch has to much class to let it happen.

Even if he categorically states he is going nowhere, they'll still say "Pochettino rules himself out FOR NOW".

Whatever he says, be it pro Spurs or staying for life, will be twisted one way or another. Best to just ignore all the media bs IMO.

Yeah. Think we'll deal with it, but we're giving the impression we're not shiting ourselves and will handle it our way.

At least that's what I'm hoping.

He could say he'll definitely be here next season, bar getting the sack, though.

Why would Poch rule himself out the job when it's he leverage to put pressure on Levy to take risks in backing him. He will be able to suggest that the risk of backing him is far less a risk than losing him. Even if he 100% wants to stay he would be fucking stupid to come out and say it, he would lose leverage.

But Spurs as a club, Poch and Levy dont give a flying fk about a media frenzie and never have.
Let them talk. They know what is or isnt going to happen. They dont give a shit about fkin Jim shit stirrer White or Durham or any of the gutter press. None of their shit stirring or opinions amount to anything. They have no power.
Frustrating for us but there it is.
Besides even if they do say he's not going anywhere you then just get 'yeah but he's gonna say that isnt he.'
Best just ignore the pricks.

Edit Just seen some posters said same thing as I was typing lol.

His policy is to never comment on rumours...and that's all it is.
Change that now and he'll be expected to comment on every rumour and press story, just to appease the panicky fans.

I'm not sure the leverage card is as big as you make out.

Need to remember as well that Redknapp was openly whoring himself out for the England job.

I get that, but this is potentially far bigger than any other rumor/press story. More like a frenzy.

You don't think having offers from United and Madrid is good leverage? The best time to argue your value and demand more to any company is when there's legitimate offers on the table at a time when your club need you most.

Literally what would be the point in Pochettino saying anything. It gets twisted or they blatantly ignore every word he says.
