That's so not true buddy (assuming someone hasn't already responded to you).

Poch was publicly angry, and extremely verbal when there was talk that Southampton would get rid of their sporting director (Corteze, was it?). He openly stated something along the lines of, "If Southampton lose Corteze, they will lose me"...

They did indeed get rid of him, Poch stuck to his word as soon as the opportunity to leave arose.

Been covered, pal - I’ve already sloped off with my considerable tail between my legs

The fact that United are prepared to appoint a caretaker until the end of the season, tells you everything you need to know.

I think our fanbase really need to wake up and smell the coffee.

He's gone.

Makes total sense for them to appoint a caretaker manager. Their season is pretty much dusted so why rush in appointing a manager?

Real Madrid have done the same with Solari, is Poch going to Madrid too?

Yeah hes co-managing both clubs, hes just waiting for PSG so he can triple up. Kane and Alli to United, Eriksen and Jan are off to madrid and Sonny fancies a bit o France.

Reckon I've got this journalism stuff sorted.

(All deals may however fall through as the clubs don't want to sign players that haven't won trophies) ;)o_O

But Spurs as a club, Poch and Levy dont give a flying fk about a media frenzie and never have.
Let them talk. They know what is or isnt going to happen. They dont give a shit about fkin Jim shit stirrer White or Durham or any of the gutter press. None of their shit stirring or opinions amount to anything. They have no power.
Frustrating for us but there it is.
Besides even if they do say he's not going anywhere you then just get 'yeah but he's gonna say that isnt he.'
Best just ignore the pricks.

Edit Just seen some posters said same thing as I was typing lol.

It might be good for everyone to be looking at us. All publicity is good publicity. At the moment we will have utd and real fans all keeping an eye on how we do. Wouldn't be suprised if we get a lot more twitter followers etc...

Having read his latest quotes I am actually really worried. There is a hell of a lot of smoke on this one, multiple sources all saying he wants the job.

He is always so ambiguous, but to me reading between the lines, he is very very non commital.
He didn’t take any opportunity to shut the rumours down. I have a really bad feeling he will he gone in the summer. It’s not often you get papers like the Times categorically saying a manager wants a job. I can’t imagine signing no players last summer convinced Poch we were really serious about winning titles. Whereas United absolutely will back him and show ambition to win titles.

You know what poch could have ended this today in his press conference he choose not too.

He’s flashed his knickers it’s as simple as that.

He can get fucked, the hypocrisy of him having a go at walker etc for wanting to leave.

Henry Winter has brilliant links with us if I believe right? He’s wrote that article.

The other one to look out for is guillem balague he’s close with poch monitor what he says

Just a touch of jilted lover syndrome there.

The way I look at it, if I'm Poch and somebody from media asks "Would you be interested in the Manchester United job?" And I replied "absolutely not, no way am I leaving" I'm essentially weakening my position in boardroom negotiations of any variety, from personal salary to transfers and coaching staff. The best thing is to basically say nothing. Keep people on their toes.

I was pretty blunt with my United sporting mates, they said well we have more resource than you, to which I replied that United could give Poch 400 million next summer and that wouldn't get close to the current SQUAD that spurs have now. Where they finding their Harry Kane, their Dele Alli, their Sissoko. we have a squad of OVER 25 that all play their part, United have about 6 players who would get into our squad. Fuck their resources argument even if Poch was given fuck all by Levy for the next 2 seasons they will not get close to what we have. That's before we discuss the new training ground, the stadium and the cheese room.

Sissoko...who would have thought ?

The thing is, if he does truly want the United job, there's no way it gets to the summer. They will approach him in the next month or two - and he'll either say yes or no, because United need to know.

Levy will also demand assurances that Poch will be here next year so he can plan ahead. So Levy will know within a month or two whether Poch is staying or going.

And if Poch says he wants to go, then he has to go straight away as you can't have a manager who is effectively working for one of your rivals. So within a short while he will either be definitely staying or no longer our manager.

United were able to attract top managers and look where it got them! I would worry if Poch left some of the players would leave too.

Moyes is Moyes. Everton is about right for him. Van Gaal was good at Ajax 25 years ago. And Mourinho did a good job until his inevitable 3rd year implosion. I agree about players leaving but some of them are going to leave anyway - its the nature of the game.

Fuck me he's definitely gone now :nailbiting::

Unai Emery believes Mauricio Pochettino could be better off staying put at Tottenham Hotspur and believes the Argentine should think very carefully if Manchester United offer him their manager’s job.

Emery knows him well as they were good friends when the pair were managers in Spain and now the Spaniard has suggested that Tottenham may be able to offer him better chance of success.

"I think he's very happy at Tottenham,” said the Arsenal manager on the eve of the League Cup North London derby when asked if Pochettino would make a good United boss. “I think he's coaching a very big team with very big players and now they are in the Champions League they are also in a better position in the Premier League than Manchester United.

“I think his performance at Tottenham is very big. I don't know if he's thinking to change for another club, but I am looking at him with a very big commitment to Tottenham and he's creating a good performance a good idea at Tottenham. Tottenham improved a lot with him.”

Poch has a real project with milestones coming to the fore and being achieved regularly and improvement each year. We are in it for the long game. London club, great new stadium, brilliant training facilities and a talented squad. Moving to Manchester isn’t all that it seems once you scrape off the gloss. Here he is working with the owners intimately on a daily basis there he’d be dealing with their paid help. Manchester...fucking international hub of the north? The Abu Dhabi’s were stupid enough to buy the blue side of town. It’s never going to have that glamour of London. Manchester City? Once Guardiola goes that’s back to square one. George Best has been a long time dead. Fergies a memory now. Money can’t buy you quality only temporary success. Play the short game and you get on the merry go round. LOL ?

Mourinho was there nearly three years and couldn’t even be arsed to buy a house in Manchester. He stayed in a fricken hotel. Poch is going to trade all this for that cesspool?

I do think we all need to take a deep breathe here. We are getting swept up with the huge amount of speculation out there from Man U supporters and journalists chasing the story and the big headline.

Are we choosing to forget everything that Poch has said.

Only on Saturday when being interviewed by Gary Lineker after reaching 100 wins with Spurs he said how he wished for more wins and trophies in the new stadium.

Before the Inter game he explained that his dream was to win trophies in the new stadium with Spurs.

He said to the Spanish media during the international break, there are things in Spurs's future that binds me to the club.

Last week he said when speaking about the rumours, how happy he was here as he was valued, and that is so important for him to feel like that.

Loyalty is so important to this man! How many managers would rule out the biggest job in the world (Barca), and the perfect job for him, as he does not want to disrespect/upset Espanyol.....he is a man of principle!

He said that he does not need to reassure Daniel Levy about his future as you only need to do it that when you are not on the same page. I.e. You don't need to tell your girlfriend everyday that you are not going leave her, when you are in love, you know!

He said today that after 5 years, and with the constant rumours regarding his future, he has never left. I don't need to reassure the fans after 5 years. The Spurs fans should no the answer!

We went through this exact thing in the summer, with Real Madrid and Poch not categorically ruling it out. How many journalists wrote that he was off, you can't turn Madrid down?

Poch has been managing this project to get us into the new stadium all this time and just as he is about to get into the stadium, after expressing how many times his desire to do this? He is now walking away?

If he hadn't gone out for dinner with Sir Alex would this be a big deal, he apparently has turned them down already many times. But now is different, why?

We need to trust IN POCH. If he left us for United now or in the summer, he is not the man that any of us thought he was!!!!
I love every word of this. Well done sir. Well done.

How close is he to Ballbag out in Spain? I know he wrote the book etc. His piece today is hardly shooting the rumours down.

This post should be pinned to the very beginning of this thread. Its intelligent, well thought out and not been wrote in a state of emotional distress. Please everyone take notice because the next time I start to question Poch leaving I'm just going to read this.

Thank You Sir ❤

Absolutely mate. I've been trying to play Devil's Advocate inside my head and have tried to think of what it would take to tempt Poch away after considering all his options (if there was even a cat in hell's chance Levy would OK an approach...) and the same answer kept coming back time after time.

"Fucked if I know". Apart from being a bigger club with more fans, they have absolutely nothing over us. NOTHING.
