I didn't realise as a matter of fact that we would lose players as a result of moving to a new stadium and that Poch's dream move was to manage Madrid despite turning them down. I suppose I don't know as much as Fletcher and Ince.

I suppose we could lose N'Koudu, but I am sure Poch can live with that.

Eriksen was thinking about it regardless of Poch. I'm more thinking of Kane and Dele etc
Dele’s got plenty of time, but we all know he’s probably gonna want to move at some point. He’s just that kind of guy.

Kane’s different. It’s obvious that he really wants to drag us up to glory and success. If Poch was to go, he’d probably give Howe or whoever a season to gauge the lay of the land, and make a decision accordingly.

DL has serious commercial imperatives riding on Poch staying - naming rights deal etc. I'd imagine they're having a full and Frank discussion this morning and he'll ask for assurances from Poch that he'll be here next season. If Poch says yes, any conctact from MU direct to Poch I'd imagine will be met with DL reporting them to the Premier League. And if he doesn't get assurances from Poch then he won't be our manager for much longer - he cant have a manager who isnt committed - it already cost us CL that time with Redknapp - DL won't allow the same situation to occur.

doesn't help when Talksport ask every single pundit they speak to if Pochettino should take the Man Utd job.

I know Jan and Toby are getting on, as is Dembele, but bar that it's a very young squad, no?

Yep still pretty young - the average age of the first team squad is about 26 years old.

Consider that Alli, Sanchez, Walker-Peters, Winks and Foyth are all 22 or younger, Dier is still only 24 (soon to be 25) and Kane is still only 25. Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Lucas all still 26. Even Lloris at 31 is still relatively young for a goalkeeper.

Why don't we stop looking at this situation as a threat to us and treat it as an opportunity to take advantage of the upheaval at United?

Poch is a big fan of Shaw, they worked very well together at Southampton, and most of us feel like we need an upgrade on Davies. So let's have a go for him in January. And whilst we're at it why not take a look at Grant as a HG replacement for Vorm, and maybe McTominay if Poch likes the look of him.

Let's stop pissing our pants and go take advantage of what's happening at Old Trafford.

If he wants to go, let him go. Someone else will come in with the new stadium, a great young squad and we'll see how committed the team are in the aftermath.

Can't help thinking that he wouldn't be entertaining the idea if Levy came through for him more....although that'll never change.

The Utd job is probably the most toxic role in football at the moment. You’ve a squad full of overpaid mercenaries who don’t give a shit and will be a nightmare to sell due to their salaries and asking price. Utd need a major overhaul and it’s far from a case of buying ‘quality’, football has changed massively and these days to succeed you need a never say die attitude, mental toughness and superb fitness levels in addition to exceptional attributes. These players are like gold dust and cost an absolute fortune. There’s rumours Utd have circa £400m to spend yet in today’s market that will get you what? 2-3 A list superstars and that’s even if clubs will sell. Fair enough if Poch was inheriting a strong squad and was looking to follow on and evolve the previous managers squad eg after Fergie retired... then yes I could see why he may want the job. Let’s not kid ourselves, Utd are a club in disarray and managers do not get ‘years’ to turn it around at the elite clubs. Poch would be mad to take the job.

I think had Levy backed Poch in the summer I would feel more confident he would stay (i think he will end up at real madrid) but his comments before and end of the summer transfer window were telling esp about the club taking risks and whilst he may sound crazy they should back him. If he leaves is it levys fault?

Shouldn't believe all the newspaper headlines and rumours about transfers both Levy & Poch have constantly stated that we cannot compete with the spending of Man City etc. The only way we will sign new players is to sell, plus new contracts for Kane , Dele , Son , Lamela, Sanchez and Poch himself will have taken a large chunk out of any transfer budget.

And Mourinho has been moaning that Man U cannot compete with their spending either.

In fact no-one can compete with PSG and Man City unless UEFA grows some balls and bans them from European competitions for financial doping in light of the De Speigel revelations / allegations.

Additionally, any ambitious manager would be thinking they could win multiple trophies with the money Jose has spent there, not to mention the higher wage ceiling and better players that brings with it.

Relatively Poch has been overperforming on peanuts.

Not to blow things completely out of proportion or anything, but I woke up in the middle of the night and was overcome by a crushing, debilitating sadness at the thought of him leaving. A dark night of the soul indeed.

Stop being all doom and gloom.

I want Poch to stay but this club is in rude health whatever happens - best ever in my life (age 47).

Our infrastructure is probably the best in the country now.

Whatever happens we will be fine - and I believe Poch will stay.

Enjoy your life - enjoy your club

Not being doom and gloom. Just because you don't want to consider the implications doesn't mean others are being ALL doom and gloom.

Fucking hell, I'm normally the eternal optimist on here, but despite our healthy position as a Club now, I recognise the wider affect of losing the best manager we've had in a very, very long time.

And the bottom line for me, is that if Poch knows he will go in the summer it will 100 per cent affect his mindset no matter how professional he appears to be. He's only human etc.

Obviously I'm praying he's no intention of leaving next summer and he's handling all this in his usual customary way.

If it helps i had a dream that i could turn invisible and intangible. I went round robbing cash machines then got a load of drugs and prostitutes.

It is utterly disrespectful to us as a club that the football media and every ex United pundit with a mouth is saying Pochettino is the one that they should be after and should go.

The Spurs job was pretty toxic when he left a smaller club to take that.
