Not read it. Of course there were players causing problems, but the hierarchy were all behind him. That's why the trouble makers were all moved on asap. His book suggests it was pretty toxic.

funny how nobody links Klopp every time a position becomes available. to be fair though Klopp would probably shut all rumours down by stating how much he wants to be liverpool manager and how honoured he is to be there. I wish Poch would do the same
I can see Poch fitting in well there ...Wait till Bayern come knocking
The delusional dotards over at Redcafe have a thread titled "Next spurs manager" as if its a given that Poch will be leaving us for them.
The sheer fucking arrogance of United fans boils my piss. As if they have some god given right to be anything more than they currently are.
Nah, he'll be the next Southampton manager.Wait till Bayern come knocking
There is a lot to be said for being happy in your job, over-achieving to an extent where you are openly converted by others, highly respected by everyone where you are currently employed and have the trust from everyone in the organisation you are essentially the face of and have been the architect of all that has been achieved to date. MP is currently this. And has stated time and time again how happy he is at Spurs.
Yes it will be flattering for MP to be touted as a potential successor to Jose - I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't find it flattering to be linked to a "historically" iconic club. But that's what they are currently.... historically iconic. They are not the force they once were. Not by a long shot.
As has already been mentioned by many posters - he would essentially have to start again at Utd. Go back 3 or 4 seasons on what he's achieved at Spurs. I think MP will be more motivated to achieve something at Spurs, rather than essentially trying to just get Utd back to where they were 5 or 6 years ago. He will never top what Fergie done there... but at Spurs he has the opportunity to build something that hasn't been seen for a very long time at Spurs. If ever.
that being said - anyone hoping that you get MP stating "I don't want the Job at Man Utd" - it wont happen. He doesn't need to make that statement publically. Regardless of what us, as fans want him to do.
Just batton down the hatches and stop listening/watching/reading the football media for a couple of weeks
I was once offered a job with more money in a larger firm - I rejected it simply because I was really happy working with my manager and team as a whole. I couldnt take the risk in moving somewhere larger with greater stress and potentially management who I werent going to be keen on working with - based on reputation. I am ambitious however but i just couldnt move.
I guess Poch will have a huge decision to make like you say. It is not so much a big step up but he needs to start again over there and it goes beyond the team on the pitch - the whole club and management structure appears to be a toxic environment, a bureaucratic one, one where too many cooks etc.
For Poch to stay it isnt just down to happiness, he needs to be backed to satisfy where he wants to end up on this journey - PL and CL. No point going on a journey aimlessly and without purpose.
You could argue the same but more about Real Madrid, but he remained loyal to us.I kind of can't see how the United job wouldn't be a good career move for him, he'll get paid more, he'll get more money to spend and even if it doesn't go well and he gets sacked, he'll get a golden handshake that'll look after his family's future...plus it wouldn't look as bad if he failed in the aftermath of Mourinho, Van Gaal and Moyes not being able to take the club past Fergie's legacy.
It'd be a lot easier to build something at United than Tottenham tbh.
No, but he didn't say he wanted to stay either.Wait! Am I missing something? Has Pochettino come and said that he wants to leave or is not happy at the club?

Good shout at CL qualification? ?
She’s in Brussels again? What’s her odds on being the next United manager?May seems a long way off.
No, but he didn't say he wanted to stay either.
Which, in media terms, means he is incredibly unhappy and wants to leave the club immediately.
