Yeah I've been thinking about this since I posted that. If we keep him and if we win the league he may decide to sign, I prefer that than selling in January
To be fair to me, the clip that Sky showed only had him talking about why he should go.

They do own a betting company though, that's all the agenda there is right there. Nothing to do with pro-man Utd or anti-Spurs, they're just pro-money in whatever form it takes.

Their agenda will always be to make money and fill a 24 hour sports news channel.

So now the elite manager that is Neil Warnock has had his say on Poch to United. Saying Poch should forget about loyalty to Spurs and go to United. Oh and apparently he got offered a job by Chelsea! :ROFLMAO:
He did actually in early 90s by Ken Bates when he was at Notts County. Different era.

The logic is pretty different. As a buying club, the attraction of these early deals is that you can get in before anybody else. If you wait till summer, Toby probably has offers from 4-5 different teams, and can use that to drive up his wage demands. Right now none of those are guarenteed, the team willing to buy him now is the safe option, plus he can start a contract with them immediately and earn an extra ~100k per week for the next six months, which is equivalent to an extra £16.5k per week over a three-year deal, so he has a decent incentive to sign for them whereas he may choose to go elsewhere in the summer. Depending on who the buying club is, it might also be able to offer him a better chance of trophies this season, again incentivising an early move, and/or have near-infinite money which means the extra £25m transfer fee for the chance of trophies is a better option for them.

Those wage demands that might be driven up are the exact reason why he is holding out on signing a new contract at Spurs. He could sign a contact here for significantly more money, but he thinks that he will get even more if he is bought on the cheap somewhere else at the end of the season. He’s not going to just go to a random club for mid-tier wages because someone offers us £50m in January. He might as well just stay here if that were the case.

Where have I advocated paying Toby 5 times what Kane is on? I have no idea where you’re talking about.
The post you replied to pointed out Toby wants 5 times what Kane gets and you replied with he is our best CB and we want to win trophies....

Full Warnock quotes, I don't see anything wrong with them at all

Despite the gap between Tottenham and United, Warnock believes any approach for Pochettino would "test" the Spurs boss, but warns that "the grass is not always greener".

Speaking ahead of Cardiff's New Year's Day game against Tottenham, Warnock told Sky Sports News: "You do feel guilty, loyalty-wise. You feel that you don't want to let anybody down.

"But, I remember when I got promotion with Notts County, Chelsea offered me a job and I thought a lot about it, turned it down and got the sack six months later. So when people talk about loyalty, I think that is a load of bull.

"You have got to do what is right for you. There is a good time to leave a club and you have got to decide if that is the right time. Not just Pochettino, but any manager."

Asked if any manager would be able to resist the lure of Old Trafford, Warnock said: "Absolutely. The grass is not always greener. Sir Alex [Ferguson] knew when he left that the place was not the same. They'd lost a lot and no one has been able to put that back.

"It is still a big test for him [Pochettino]. Does he want that sort of challenge when he has got a new stadium and a squad he knows inside out?

"But Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and you don't get that opportunity very often."

Pochettino is yet to win a trophy with Tottenham, but has been widely lauded for his team's style and consistency, and Warnock believes the Argentinian is almost the complete manager.

"He just gets the best out of players," Warnock said. "People talk about him not winning anything and when he finishes his career people will look back on that so it is important they do win something.

"But a good manager improves players and that is what he has done. They have got to get a little bit more ruthless against the top teams in the cups and in the league, but that is all that is missing."

Do sky still own shares in utd?

Nah they flogged it all off years ago.
Same with Chelsea.

Their agenda will always be to make money and fill a 24 hour sports news channel.

Epic fail. They've wasted thousands employing clueless Redknapp and Village idiot Merson.

Two people that the public like, for their many ills. Redknapp fronts A League of their Own too, which does well for Sky too. He’s golden boy

Yeah, just jesting really. Although I do still stand by my belief that they're both pretty limited in the intelligence department.

Check out some of these beauties from Redknapp.

"Peter Schmeichel will be like a father figure to Kasper Schmeichel."

"Arsenals width comes from wide areas.’’

"Real Madrid aren’t in the same league as Barcelona"

"Steven Gerrard makes runs into the box better than anyone. So does Frank Lampard.”

"Xabi Alonso was sensational spreading the ball to Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard that day.”...After Liverpools 4-1 against Man United – a game that Alonso didn’t play in!

"Most goals are scored between the posts."

Anyway. For fear of thread total derailment. I'm quite liking the fact that Poch has come out fighting this past week.

He's taking no sh*t and is calling out a few for the way they've belittled the club and our achievements.
