I stated in the match thread that today is just one of those days and as spurs fans part of the game is living through them. I stand by that, however as an afterthought I did think that Pochettino could have been braver with his team selection today. It is easy to say now after the match when I feel more certain about it, but I had hoped for a couple of changes in the spirit of attacking and goal scoring.

respectfully, not many options tbh.
Second 1/2 was Kane, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Lamela....Trippier only there for his attacking play.

Correct, but for instance the fullbacks could have been rotated with Walker-Peters and Rose as per my mock team sheet in the team selection thread.

One thing that will be interesting if Poch does stay in the summer, will he be ruthless and cut some players who have been good for him, but are not up to scratch any more? The best managers are absolutely ruthless when it comes to knowing when to let people go. Maybe because of our limited finances, he’s not been able to do it, but surely the bell’s tolling for Trippier and Lloris.

Trippier he might cut, but he won't do that to Lloris who was the first senior player to buy into his plans and Poch will be loyal to him.

Pochs post match comments go quite far in terms of his commitment to the club.

So if it was your decision you would be the person to take them to the next chapter?

Of course, of course, of course. I am so happy here, so happy.

Ive always thought that when he says we need to compete in a “different way” he’s not self evidently talking about money (as so many assume). The above interview makes that explicit!

Clearly not he’s cost us a load of points this season and a draw today. Gazzaniga saves that simple as that.
Or Tripper doesn't try and make that pass, or Kane, Alli etc stop shooting at De Gea and we score one or two of the 11 shots that he saved, and we actually win the match

Fuck me, it's blatantly not as simple as that!

He usually rotates his fullbacks if they are all available.

He played Rose and Aurier against Chelsea on Tuesday. Or are Chelsea not one of the big teams?
He started Aurier against Tranmere and Trippier against Chelsea

Pochettinho claiming our second half performance against United was the best he'd seen since taking over, is rubbish. I love Pochettinho but that statement sends out the wrong message imo. I'm not saying he should do a Mourinho and single players out but he was within his rights to stress to the players the fine margins between success and failure.... I don't know wants happened all of a sudden with our poor form at Wembley also with our mind set against sides in the top 6 it's a poor record.

Doubtful he's saying that behind closed doors...
