We are charging a fortune for tickets at Wembley which is bigger than the new stadium,...have sold a player and signed no-one in the summer.

We are also progressing in the CL and cups.

there are plenty that are getting refunds, and buying cheaper seats at Wembley

have you any idea how much they are refunding the corporate members? if they don't want to go to Wembley it will be millions.

we have had 2 home games, 1 at a rented MK Dons 1 at Wembley, the rent at Wembley and MK Dons most probably meant the takings at the MK earnt us diddly squat

we signed no 1 in the summer because the targets Poch wanted didn't want to come or there clubs put stupid terms or fees, like Ajax with de Ligt.

when Zaha turned us down the season before, rumours were he wanted more than what we were paying Kane. imagine if we actually did go back for him last summer, do you reckon his agent will of wanted the same figure, knowing we was meant to be going into a 62k seater stadium, 1 that charges high prices, and most wanted guaranteed 1st team football like he has at Palace.

De Jong wants to go to Barca, now I love Spurs with all my heart, but come on it's not as if we are his boyhood club is it.

NDombele had 1 season playing in Lige1 (not sure if that's the right name), for Lyon. they had just purchased him for 8m euros why would anyone pay near on 50m, for a player that looks great in a league that makes Sky bet League 1 look good. yes he has looked good this season playing in the CL, but that would of been 1 massive gamble if he failed to settle in England.

you also got to remember when the window was open we had 28 men to fit into a 25 man squad, that also needed a HG player or 2, but we never sold anyone, not even the better players that were on the out list.

you all moan at Levy for not paying top whack, but you expect him to give our players away for nothing, and with the PL paying better wages than the majority of clubs across the whole of Europe, then most of those on the out list most probably turned moves down due to wages.

there is the chance also that Levy knew before it was announced about the stadium, and had no idea what laid ahead in costs, so never went that extra mile, and I doubt even Poch would expect to over pay for a player, especially if that player wanted silly wages that would of meant a lot of unhappy squad members not receiving the same.

I'm a corporate (Executive) member and I wasn't offered a monetary refund for this season. Instead I was given the choice between tickets at Wembley or money off next season's ticket.

You call them silly wages and prices - I call them the market rate.

How can they be silly if the clubs that pay them are all consistently more successful than us.

I think the most important step for our club is Poch staying in the summer. If the Utd job goes to someone else we can feel quite stable at keeping our manager.

Transfer wise we do have a challenge. If we go for an obvious high profile player like De Ligt or De Jong, it is almost certain a bigger club will come in for them. No harm in making enquiries but have to see them as unlikely targets.

Then we have players like Maddison who just wants to play. Nothing wrong with that of course but Poch likes slow integration and players to earn their time on the pitch. So players like them become unlikely.

But we do have some massive strengths. Poch is well respected as a manager who trains and cares about his players. Young players determined to develop and become the best should see us as a good choice.

Being based in London also helps.

Wage wise we pay more than 14 clubs in the league and we can likely start being not too far off some of the other top 5.

So we need to be targeting players within that frame.

Difficult, challenging and frustrating but can be done.

I wonder if the reason Poch doesn't want the club to spend on anything other than what he considers sure things, is because in the back of his mind he's thinking he won't be here much longer and doesn't want to lumber us with players who don't work out once he's gone.

Interesting theory at best.

Different point completely.

Not at all. He knows the club is strapped for cash, obviously. And that big signings are stretch given the billion £ thing we've got going on. If he thought, in his heart of hearts, that he isn't going to be here next season, it's perfectly plausible that being the good guy that he is, he doesn't want to drop the club's entire transfer budget for the summer on a player / players that the new manager might not want.

OK. There's zero chance of him leaving for Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Oh hi strawman, haven't seen you in a while ?

Of course there's a chance he may leave but your entire theory regarding his stance on transfers is stupid.

Got to love this place sometimes.

Right now I think Poch is cleaning the toilets.

He knows the club is strapped for cash paying for the stadium so while Levy hasn't fired anybody he hasn't replaced those who have quit.

Levy paying staff less than mimimum wage and claiming them as a tax deductible has not made him as much as he thought so he has stopped hiring cleaning staff.

Being the good guy that Poch is and knowing that he is leaving this summer. He has decided to do a full clean of the toilets once a week as he doesn't want the next manager thinking Poch worked in a dirty environment.

For those of you saying we don't splash the cash you should know that Spurs hold the world transfer record for the most paid for a 32 year old.

I really don't follow the logic of those who try to make conspiracies where they don't exist. It's actually harder to come to some of these conclusions than to simply look at the evidence.

Poch has repeated that being brave and competing with the big money teams means doing things differently, poch has said he wants to be manager for 20 years and wants to build something special, poch has said that he won't buy stop gaps and would rather put faith in the academy, poch has recently bought a house the house he's been renting, poch has never said he wants to go to Man Utd or Real Madrid, he's never publicly expressed dissatisfaction at the lack of funds or spending. Poch has spoken clearly about the trust he has in Levy and how good a job Levy is doing juggling everything. Poch believes in what he's doing, Levy believes in him, his coaches and the players believe in what he's doing, poch has asked the fans to believe more in what he's doing.

There will come a time when the writing is on the wall for Poch to leave but that time is not now and not by a long stretch because by then Poch would have made feelings and intentions completely clear just as he did at Southampton and Espanyol.

In a world where money talks, Poch is a man cut from a different cloth, he's a man of his word and I trust when it's time for him to leave to by choice or otherwise he will tell us all well in advance.

I call them silly wages because they are.

the more successful clubs do it because they have been successful for most of the time the PL and CL have been in place, or purchased by owners that have thrown stupid money at it (Chelsea & City) and have stadiums bigger than WHL was (oh I forgot we're not in a stadium are we).

so if a player asked for 180k a week, yet Alli is on 150k, but the player isn't as good or even a guarantee of even settling in England or playing in the PL week in, week out, you would risk causing bad vibes just so you could have a shiny new toy?

and out of everything I posted the only thing you could pick holes in was my "silly wages"

not completely dumb.

we don't know that Levy and Poch haven't sat down, and that Poch in private has said he wants a new challenge, 1 that he doesn't have to watch the pennies and they have agreed between them to see out the season.

if that was the case, which I really hope isn't close to being half true, then not many chairmen would spend money on players the next man in charge doesn't want.

It wouldn't be a complete shock the reason why we landed up with Saha/Nelson in Redknapps last season, the only difference being we all knew it was looking like Redknapps finally
