How will FFP is concern for us. We sign fucking no one and when we do we do it mostly in 10 to 25 mil range.

the trouble is especially with it being the January window, what we need is going to cost north of 50m. my point was we can't buy a player or 2 in that range, pay them wages that go with that fee, and pay 3 or 4 players sitting at home doing nothing

Then why we failed to sign anyone in the summer

Janssen & Nkoudou...

you do know N'Koudou is in our 25 man squad don't you? if not we are fucked with that cross on Sunday for Winks

Janssen doesn't have a squad number, but was also unable to go on loan at the start because he had an operation, something that would of been a problem even giving him away, because 1, his new employers wouldn't want a wage bill for someone being out for 5 months, and 2, I doubt he would of accepted the move without getting some income

same problem with Wanyama

Janssen could have gone on loan to Brighton but chose not to.

I wonder if the reason Poch doesn't want the club to spend on anything other than what he considers sure things, is because in the back of his mind he's thinking he won't be here much longer and doesn't want to lumber us with players who don't work out once he's gone.
Exactly what I thought too when I read the itk.

This site is really funny sometimes.

Tottenham Hotspur PR team in full swing now.

Poch doesn't want to sign players!

That way when our season collapses we can say it was because Poch didn't want to strengthen in our hour of need ...

When we goes to Madrid/United we can claim it was no great loss as he didn't know how to improve the team in the transfer market!

What I said yesterday, tide is turning and now it’s on Poch, you couldn’t make it up!

As I sit here, struggling to contemplate the latest information, Let's say it is true, I do feel judging from everything I know about Poch is that he will see this moment as like a way for the squad to forge some sort of mentality where they have to believe in themselves whatever whatever. He will see this as a way for the team to grow.

You lot read into ITK too much, go outside and get some fresh air.

Fuck that I'm watching videos of Poch during Southampton pre-season making them walk on firestones and snapping arrows with their necks for team bonding, I'm doubling down on my Poch likes to forge weird ahead with weird growing moments theory.

Guys, there's a place to discuss ITK and this isn't it. If it carries on we'll have to decide wether or not to lock this thread or ban those who persist. I'd rather it were neither and it just stopped before it goes too far.

Thanks

Jesus you lot, get a grip. I’m reading through and this is painful. It is possible, you know, that Pochettino is a good manager who has perhaps become a touch too idealistic in how he wants to shape the squad, and needs to adjust ever so slightly, while at the same time Levy is a good chairman who does back the manager but hasn’t quite got it right in getting top quality signings over the line within club parameters.

Has anyone actually considered that both Pochettino and Levy need to adjust, not change, but adjust their respective attitudes to transfers, and that both sets of ideals are contributing to our current signing famine?

No, it has to be one or the others fault, because that’s the bollocks sensationalist world we know live in thanks to Mr Murdoch.
