Some gems in here to add to the multiple other quotes of late:

"You can be a winner but if you don't have the tools to win, it's difficult. If you have the car to win and you are good, then you win."

Given the timing happy with the transfer situ at Spurs much? :),
Sitting second four points off the leaders with more than a third of the season to go, hmm, ask me in a few months.

Why would he? Barring a bad end to his final season, Harry spent the best 3.5 years of his career with us, and at that point it was also our best period in the modern era. It was fun, the football was good, both he and us got to experience the Champions League. For those 3.5 years, almost 4 seasons, it was a match made in heaven which unfortunately had to end sooner than was ideal.

They were good times except for blowing that 11 point lead over arsenal for fourth. Missing out on the CL income for arsenal at the time was meant to have been disasterous for them financially.

But anyway, he’s got our back in the media seemingly.

Chelsea may well want Poch but no way will Poch want Chelsea. That club is run the opposite way to the way Poch wants his club to be run.

Honestly don’t know why any self respecting coach would go there. Sure they will pay you well, but if you’re already earning well at your current club, why bother? Horrible little club.

The joke thread is on a different part of the forum :LOL::LOL:

It does make me laugh that none of them can see how connected Poch is to this club and our future. They still see him as a mercenary ready to jump ship and chase the money
I don't think they see him as anything of the sort, they couldn't give a fuck either way. They aren't interested in anything other than getting clicks, anyone looking for accuracy, fairness, balance or integrity anywhere at all in the media is wasting their time and should stop reading it all if it bothers them.

Actually, I wonder how much people in this very thread have actually earned the shitholes they so despise by bringing their links over here to generate exactly what they are after in the first place.

Poch would never go to Chelsea. It's clear none of our pkayers like them, and I believe Poch has to much self respect to go there. Would be like a stab in the heart. He's too Spurs now to do it. Like Espanyol and Barca. If the day comes and he goes, you know damn well it won't be to those two.

I find it strange that people read the lowest common denominator of info then moan about it. I chat with my mates about football sometimes and if anyone is just saying stupid stuff I ignore them or tell them I am not going to dumb myself down to that level.

I have to believe there are good sources of info out there.

People have access to both written and recorded versions of Pochs pressers with every word uttered during that process, then normally there are one or two (journo's) that will then offer up interviews after the cameras are turned off - in the same principal - but people would rather take the word of numerous red tops and broadsheets and then take them for their word with zero source or context or credibility ...

It fucking baffles me, it really does.

Well according to the Sunday Express, Chelsea are after him now. :D

I'm reasonably sure Chelsea themselves have a department dedicated exclusively to releasing stories like this just to ruffle Spurs (among other teams) feathers. Last summer while Poch was under contract negotiations a story came out about their interest. A few weeks ago a story came out about them making a "surprise swoop" for Eriksen right out from Madrid's nose. Now after we are on another couple of good wins, surprise surprise here comes another Poch story. Pretty sure similar stories have come out in recent times about Kane too. It's what they do. Their organization is filth from head to toe. I may fret a little about losing Poch one day soon but of all the club's in the world they're not one.

I have a theory about Poch and why he turned down Madrid and Utd ( if they actually approached him). Which in the short term is good for us and in the long term not so. I don't think he likes dealing with star names, he's happier bringing young players through. He's had fall outs with Toby, Walker and Rose, one has left and the other two could go in the summer. The good thing is it means he wont be moving on anywhere soon but the problem is he may not want to sign an established International star name which is what we want to complete the squad. There were reports that we could have signed a couple of players but Poch said no.
Bringing youth through is great but sometime the well will run dry.
Just a theory!

He was very adamant wasn’t he. He still has no axe to grind with us.

I think he's been very gentlemanly since leaving. I have a lot of time for Harry.

Kyle Walker had been with us for donkeys in terms of modern day football. I hold no grudges. He went to win trophies, which he has done. Toby was contractual, which was brought on by agent in his ear as it was already agreed verbally. Danny Rose, like Walker, is one of our, if not the, longest serving players currently and what he said was actually spot on. We needed to kick on from where we were. Also, I cannot stress this enough, Danny suffered with depression and that can really really affect you in your relationships with the people around you.

Oh and please listen to Poch's pressers, he wants to add quality if it's right both on and off the pitch. Until then, he is happy with the squad as is.

He was only annoying when we had AVB, said that we should be winning the league with the team he had; halfway through his first season. I thought it lacked a bit of class and was bitter, never mind that Redknapp had a better team and should have done better.

We have plenty of star names. Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Hugo, Jan, Toby, Moura are all stars.

I do think he's unproven when it comes to really big transfers. He's never had to deal with that, because of the size of clubs he's managed. I do get the feeling that personality and temperament is extremely important to him.

I know we all love spurs with all our hearts but if arsenal in their deluded wisdom wanted to pay you 300k a week - would you go?

Ill be honest, id go for a tenth of that, i wouldnt like the job but for 30k a week id even shoot the lot of you
