Haha there's a little bit of difference between 'just' paying 29m for someone and an 88m release clause in Lo Celso's case.

Not really. Don’t target a player that is worth £65m if you’re only wanting to pay £50m tops.

Same with ndombele.

Target players you can afford and pay close to the desired fee.

It’s not hard, it works in all other parts of business.

Both sides then feel they did well.

I really cannot think we could have had any interest in this player or we would(should) be ' doing a Chelsea' and matching the bid . When you think of the fees being quoted for virtually every player we are linked with( even £20 million for Jack Clarke), this seems ludicrously low for a 22 year old proven striker.

I think he’s a great candidate personally. He’s already showed the ability to play well off a primary goal scorer as that is his role for Celta, playing in a partnership with Iago Aspas so it would give us another way to lineup.
