maybe we should tell Real to pave the way for us to sign Ozil and as a reward for their cooperation we will answer the phone when they come knocking for Taarabt and allow them to sign him before Barca make their move for him.

 For every Adel purchased, reveive one Glaswegian Dad-Basher free.
This offer is not valid in Northern Ieland or the Isle of ManEek

German sensation Mesut Ozil has revealed that he would relish the opportunity to join Manchester United or Chelsea.
The 21-year-old playmaker saw his profile rocket this summer after a number of impressive showings at the World Cup finals.
His creativity helped Germany secure a third-place finish and ignited interest in his services across Europe.
His current employers, Werder Bremen,

accept that they now face a battle to keep their prized asset at the club.

As Ozil

has just one year remaining on his current contract, they have accepted that they may need to cash-in now rather than lose him for nothing in 12 months time.

It is believed that a bid of around £12million could force their hand, and that sort of money is readily available to the best in the business.
Top clubs in the Premier League would have no problem finding such a sum and Ozil admits he would welcome a switch to England.
"There are four or five clubs in Europe that you would have to say as a player would be a dream to play for," the youngster said in the Daily Star Sunday.
Success

"Manchester United

and
Chelsea
spacer.gif
are very much two of them.

"When you are looking at moving clubs it's impossible not to pay attention to the Premier League and even more impossible not to pay attention to Manchester United and Chelsea."
He added: "I am a winner and, when I am looking for a new club, I simply look at where I can be the most successful and where I can win the most trophies.
"If you look at the recent history of Manchester United and Chelsea then it's clear that a player can be very successful there.
"Of course clubs like Real Madrid
spacer.gif
and
Barcelona
spacer.gif
are of huge interest and the Premier League's top two clubs are of serious interest to me when the time comes."

While hinting that he could be tempted to take on a new challenge in the near future, Ozil accepts that his future lies in the hands of Bremen.
He said: "I am under contract with Werder for another year and it is impossible for me to say if a deal will be done this summer.
"They may decide that they want to keep me for another season or they may decide to sell me this summer so they can get some money for me. That is up to the club."

Never thought we would have much chance of getting him, the big clubs would always come in for him.... saying that the only thing we have in our favour is he would be a starter for us, the other teams he may be a team player more but thats me clutching at straws

The best chance we had of signing Ozil was when he left Shalke.

The way I see it now is that it is best for us if he moved to Madrid so that we could have a chance of bringing in L.Diarra and maybe even VDV but only if we could sell Jenas would I believe and hope we would sign the pair of them, just as if Jenas doesn't go, midfielders will get complacent.

Expect to now see him move to United or Chelsea though as neither are going to not make bids now that he has declared he would move to either preferably.

Its looking more and more like top players want to only move to clubs that can guarantee success and unfortunately winning a Carling Cup 2 years ago, just doesn't cut it with them.

According to the Times, he's going to Real Madrid, Mourinho wants to build the team around Kehdira and Ozil, he's even willing to sell Kaka.

He may wish to go to Chelsea or United, but thay have to WANT him and the way I see it, he is behind Muller or anyone's wish list. Don't write us off just yet. I see no point in getting Lass, VDV maybe, but I have many question marks abput him.

In truth, an offensive midfielder should be the last thing on our minds. We have Niko, Modric, GDS, Lennon, Hudd (who I see as an offensive mid), O'hara, Taarabt... ehm... Jenas - that's plenty and I think both Niko and Modric are better than Ozil.

Striker or two, CB or two - those should be the priorities - no expense spared.

These latest quotes make absolute no odds to our chances of signing him, which are indeed slim but definitely existent. All this quote tells us is that he'd rather sign for one of those 4 than us, as if we didn't know that already. More crucially it tells us that he's nowhere near to signing for any of them. It's a last ditch attempt at a come and get me plea. If none of those come he'll have to consider other options. He also said he'd have to take notice of any Premiership offer, and we'll be fairly near the top of that list.

Reports from the hot Canadian broadcaster on FSC is that Oezil is heading to Barcelona after an agreement was made for 13 million Euros.

A lot of reports saying Ozil to Barca is pretty much a done deal. Oh well it was nice to dream .

Please.....like seeing him in Barcelona's midfield is going to bad for your health

Rather than than United. Although, would have prefer one last year at Werder. I'm losing him and Khedira to La Dos Liga

I'm just completely jealous of how good Barcelona's team is going to be this season, they have the potential to be better than they have for the past two seasons which is incredible. I'm also glad he didn't end up at manure and the scum as well so that's always good .

This has really been bugging me. Is it Ozil or Oezil?

I'm not sure where he'll fit in there, but it'll be fun to watch if he does go.

You can do either. The umlat O is turned into an "oe" when you know German, but don't want to map a keyboard (lazy people rule). But nobody is going to be bothered if you don't do it. Feel free to use either. We're not douches about this shit like assmunches that argue Gomes/Gomez
