Doubt there's any chance of this happening. Vorm is a very reliable second choice keeper. Not sure we'd find any better, especially in the time frame

This would leave us a goalie short, having just signed another.

Makes perfect sense to me, now that Gazzaniga is official. Vorm would probably enjoy one last sign-on fee in his career, and maby get a bit more playing time, too. I think this story might very well be factual.

Does not benefit us at all to sell him. Gazzaniga is a significant downgrade on him and I hope he was just brought in to be the 3rd choice.

Palace may have to pay a significant fee to get Vorm off us.

Perhaps this, combined with the rumours that Janssen is also available at the right price, suggests that we're optimistic about getting top targets in but need to raise some more cash.

If Vorm went, Gazzaniga would presumably be the new back up keeper with our youngsters - Austin, Whiteman and perhaps the young keeper currently on trial - competing for the third spot but also giving us a homegrown player in the squad.

Nobody really needs three senior goalies, and Gazzaniga is too old to be considered up and coming prospect for the future. Lloris and Gazzaniga for now, adding Pau next summer. Totally sensible.

I'd be very dissapointed to lose Vorm as our 2nd goalie, but we have been very blessed goalie wise these past years.

The only way I would find this acceptable is if we picked up Alban Lafont from Toulouse as I see him in the same tier as Donnarumma and also the same age.
Can't imagine TFC allowing Lafont to go for cheap. He is good (and very young) but I am not sure he is as good with his feet as Pau. Actually I am sure he is not. Hell of a shot stopper though. Imagine we will wait for Pau.

Come on, this is such an obvious story after we signed a new keeper. It's just lazy journalism.

I'd be gutted to lose Vorm as backup GK and even more concerned to have Gazzaniga as backup based on the little I've seen of him.

Problem comes if Vorm is keen to play regularly, as I think we'd like to honour his wishes due to good service. That said Palace have left it too late really so I'd hope we stayed strong.
