That smacks of jealousy to me. It's entirely up to him where he moves to.

Quite often these players look amazing and then sign for an average club and go on to be average players. Remy being one of those players who looked great and then ended up at QPR. Shaqiri looks half decent but I'd say Stoke are about the right level for him.

Nothing says that MB will go on to become a great player. I thought he looked pretty average last year and could just be a Benjani going through a purple patch like he did at Pompey. On the flip side he could become the next Drogba. If we don't sign him at least we know it was probably due to our scouting having a very good look at him/unrealistic price tag, in which case Stoke/Newcastle won't sign him either.

Let's be clear though, all 4 of those players you've mentioned have tried and failed at CL clubs which has meant that they were massive gambles when purchased. Plenty of talent but all of them have failed to live up to early hype.

Batshuayi is one of the hottest young strikers in europe and will only be leaving Marseille for a top club. Praise Stoke all you like but they're not good enough for him, at this stage at least, it would be a poor move on his part.
yet they have 4 champions league medals between them so they can't that bad of a level certainty higher than this Marseille kid!

Doubt he will go anywhere this window - he's pretty much the only Marseilles player that scores goals and they've got no way to replace him this late on.

Odemwingie is rumoured to be flying there this afternoon for talks amid a loan move....Michy replacement??? Lol

Just because they were on a team that won the CL doesn't mean that they hugely contributed to it.

Look come on, it's widely known that Afellay was shipped off around europe on loans when he was at Barca because he couldn't make the grade.

Arnautovic was known to have talent but apparently had major character issues. Seems to have matured out of those now to his credit and is likely to leave Stoke in the summer for a bigger club....apparently.

Shaqiri was decent at Bayern but could never stay in the team, went to Inter....did nothing....and was shipped out after 6 months.

Bojan...see Afellay.

Stoke have been decent this season, no doubt about it, but all of those players are engimatic and inconsistent which is why they are a mid-table team and likely won't get higher than that with their current model. You could even argue that on pure talent alone they are right up there but a lack of team chemistry and togetherness will prevent progress. All you have to do is look at Spurs as the perfect example of how great team spirit and strong work ethic will help to achieve consistency.

I'm honestly a little bit surprised at how many people are jumping to the defense of bloody Stoke. Since when did they become so popular.

affelay had done a huge assist in the semi final vs madrid for messi first goal and in that final both he and bojan came on so you can't say they didn't contribute nothing I remember especially affelay coming on in that semi final vs madrid and changing the game

Add Imbula to their list of players seeing as Stoke have agreed a fee with Porto....
The guy who didn't work out there?

Perfect for their group of players that didn't work out at big clubs. (y)

Not to mention all 4 of the players you mentioned are attacking players yet 16 teams out of 20 in the league have scored as many or more goals than Stoke have. Odd that.

Stoke players are fucking overrated. There's a reason theyre at Stoke - they failed at bigger clubs in CL and no one wanted to take a punt on them. The only one I would even consider taking is Bojan

Imbula is a fantastic player, he was pushed to Porto by his agent. He never wanted to go there and it didn't work out. His agent has made millions off him these last 6 months.

Isn't his agent his father?
