COYS! Bit of a injury hit squad for tomorrow, but I'm confident we'll still get the points.

Janssen brace in a 3-1 win.

My memory, rightly or wrongly, of Middlesbrough away is that it was a game we always seemed to lose. So in this different era I want a double figures win to make up for the past :p

Did Berbatov score a cracker up there one time?

Anyhow I think this will be tight, but I think we'll just come out on top.

1-0, fancy Son to get the goal.

I think you're right, I swear it used to be a ground we rarely did well at! I vaguely remember Keane and Berbatov playing well up there once but I couldn't say what happened.

Anyway I'm really looking forward to this, can't wait to see how we do with Janssen too. As much as I hate to say it and we all know the incredible player Kane can be too well, but in terms of general play in our games, thus far this season, Janssen couldn't do much less than what Kane has managed.

He is the thing, the table position is flattering them due to a win over Sunderland. Otherwise they've struggled vs. teams like Palace, West Bromwich and even Fulham and Stoke. Middelsborough is actually playing rather bad, and they have far more players out due to injury than we do. I can not see any reasonable explanation for why they should beat us. This is more of a must-beat kind of fixture than some may think.

Top teams would go to places like Boro and win.
It'll be difficult and they will have small periods of pressure however our class should and hopefully will come through.

Kane is clearly a superb striker, but we shouldn't downplay the importance of our style of play when it comes to creating chances. Janssen will definitely get good opportunities, and in my opinion he looks good enough to capitalise on more than enough of them. He also looks like he can create good chances for the players around him.

My gut feeling is that even if Janssen doesn't start knocking them in for fun, he'll still play a valuable role.

It's just great to look forward to watching us play again. In AVB's last season I used to break into a cold sweat just thinking about enduring the next match.

I don't get our rotation logic. Why did he rest Lamela and Eriksen against Sunderland but play them against Gillingham, which means at least one will probably rested today with Tuesday in mind

Maybe the logic primarily was to give Sissoko and Son a league start rather than to just rest Lamela and Eriksen.

Thought these were interesting:-

Tottenham have won 22 of their last 24 Premier League games (D2) against newly promoted sides since losing 1-0 to QPR in April 2012.

Since the start of 2014-15, Harry Kane has missed just four Premier League games for Tottenham Hotspur, with Spurs failing to win any of them and scoring just twice (D1 L3).

Spurs have only remained unbeaten in their opening six Premier League games of a season on one previous occasion - in 2004-05.

I think it was done to make sure there were two experienced midfielders in amongst the kids. Sissoko and Son could have played against Gillingham, but have had fewer games with Tottenham and were less able to impose Pochettino's style and set an example.

Viduka was such a good player...

Berbatov was so good so nonchalant in everything he did.

One of my employees is a die hard boro fan. We absolutely need to win this or I'll get stick for months.

Or I could just sack him

Two good possible answers

Maybe the logic primarily was to give Sissoko and Son a league start rather than to just rest Lamela and Eriksen.
