Like his fellow North African "mate", Taarabt, Mido was aslo a bit of a nut case but fun character non-the-less and, while at Spurs, a decent footballer to some extent.
He seem to be a Spurs fans, and refers to the club as "we".

He was my favourite player in his initial loan spell with us lol, if we had that Mido last season we would be comfortably 3rd.

Interesting how he refers to us as 'we'. Always liked him and when he played to his ability, really showed what he was capable of, even if he was a little bit of a hot head.

But as mentioned above, good to see his comments about Baldini

I still have the telegraph from when he scored two on his debut. Was class - comparatively to where we were at the time.

i believe the headline was, "spur strike gold with Mido's touch" or someting very similar

I'm still yet to master that backheel flick he did. I've been trying for over 7 years.

I really like Defoe and all but he and Villa are only similar in stature. That's where the similarities end for me. They won't be playing together much anyway. Villa actually understands the offside rule, can actually use the inside of his foot and can finish in more ways than just hitting the ball as hard as he can, can create and pass intelligently and his technique is sublime.

Still nice to see Mido's comments though. Thanks for sharing.

He was amazing for us in his loan season before he went to the ACN, never came back the same. Massive waste IMO could have made so much more of his talent

I remember he lost a shed load of weight and played worse, which was strange! But loved him at our club, one of those players who gave a shit, and had a mentality of a winner. Unlucky Berba and Keane became so good kept him and Defoe out.

I still remember being absurdly excited when Mido signed for us, going onto some Egyptian forums and discussing what kind of player he was....
and he actually was a very talented player, undone by the pies or kebabs.

Still remember in the FA Cup I think it was? Away to Fulham, he was a beast in the air and got several headed assists for Keane? We looked amazing that day.

Now he was a fat player!

Shame it didn't work out for him really. He was very skilful and a proper physical force when on song. Could have been a huge (no pun intended) player but obviously other things happened. Was disappointed it didn't click for him.

Back in the day when Keane was amazing week in week out and him and Berba won games on their own. Dreamy.
