Can anyone tell us what has happened to Leigh Mills, as he was mean to be a huge prospect at CB when he joined?? Has he not progressed, only he seems to have been here for years now?? Also, on the subject of young defenders, are there no other youngsters (apart from the unfortunate Dervitte who apparently was looking exceptional pre-injury) who are worth throwing in at the deep end so to speek? If we have none, then I think that maybe it reflects poorly on either our scouting or our academy or both, as other teams seem to find talent that can step up!!
Just to cause a bit of a stir, with our defensive frailties so far this season, how about a bid for Wes Brown (versitile), who has refused to sign Utd's latest (and final) offer!!! COYS!!!!!

He's British so it can only be a bad idea because it would mean much money for an overrated player.

Yeah, just like Kaboul... (p.s. I think Kaboul will be different gear in a couple years. The expectations thrown on the shoulders of a 20 year old centre back from a completely different league have been ridiculous.)

I was wondering a few weeks ago whether Clive might have tried him out for the Blackburn game he was in charge of -

I may be wrong but I think Leigh might be currently injured after a recent reserve game - anyway I guess he won't be playing soon as it seems Rocha is nearly ready now

Most of the reserves who might be able to make the step up are are on loan (Ifil, Daniels, Barcham) or injured (Barnard, Dervitte, McKenna, Maghoma, Mills, Archibald-Henville, Peckhart, Livermore, Davis, Dixon).

O'Hara could come into the frame. The only other reserves who are fit and remotely ready for first team football are Rose and Dawkins (if you don't count the likes of Routledge, Taarabt and Boateng as reserves).

thanks for the info Eddie - I was disappointed when Daniels went on loan given our LB (ongoing) crisis - mind you I tend to be disappointed with our loaning strategy in general - to me it hasn't worked well

Has there been any news about Dixon at all since he was carried off after his comeback game? Is it still dislocated knee cap?

ITK says he's undergone another operation...and it's not successful he'll retire.
