Charlton have been really poor, we all know his quality so hopefully he can walk into their team.

You would think we have received assurances that he is going to get plenty of game time.

Best of luck to him.

which would be excellent if he plays at cb and gets the time because i think thats where poch sees him in the long run
A bit like Bale being a fullback ? ;)

In saying that if in a few years time we'd sold Velijkovic to Real for GBP85 million as a midfielder I'm sure Levy wouldn't complain.

Impressive debut for @SpursOfficial loanee Milos Veljkovic so far. Winning the ball in midfield and calm in possession. | 0-0 #CAFCLive

@TimJamesGibney Veljkovic had a great game Man of the match for me.

For interested #thfc fans, Veljkovic played CM in a 4-4-2 and looked very assured on debut. Won tackles and retained possession.

NB. Liddle is Presss Officer at Charlton & a Spurs fan !

Played well in a 442 it seems, people on here have voiced concerns over his ability to perform in a cm 2. Admittedly it's only 1 game and in the championship but encouraging

He'll do fine in a CM2 - of course every CM2 will be under pressure if the opposition has 3 CM's but he will cope as well as our Mason/Bentaleb CM2 or any other combination of our CM's.

He looked good in a couple of appearances oiff the bench last season and had about 3 half match appearances pre-season I recall where he looked decent. IMO if we didn't have as many experienced CM's and CB's he might have made more appearances for Spurs this season, but it looks like it could be next season

I hope so or that he at least impresses enough to get a PL loan next season

Will be interesting next season, how it pans out

We have these players at the moment
Kaboul
Vertonghen
Fazio
Chiriches
Dier

Now I think Kaboul will go and Chiriches will go or be moved to DM/RB

Then we have these players
Veljkovic - Will be around premier league level
Ball - hopefully be around championship or league 1 level next season
Carter-Vickers - Who knows but will be 17 next season and it wouldn't be too insane to say he would be knocking on the door at a championship loan

Despite I think we will need another defender for now and Musacchio would potentially a big player for us

from intothevalley -

Was at the game yesterday and I'm not gonna lie he was my MOTM he broke down the player very well and was calm on the ball, the only problem I see in the future is that Buyens is now the man making runs forward and he doesn't seem as affective, so I'm not sure about the two playing together at home. But away games it was very solid but we lacked any creativity.

Milos done fine, he shielded the back-four & played the ball out coolly. He had good organisational skills for one so young, cajoling & instructing older team mates. He made the odd error of course but he can be very pleased with his first Charlton appearance.

I was there also, I thought the young man did very well.

Probably not that significant these days, but Veljkovic has been given the no 5 shirt, a traditional first team number for a loanee is unusual ! And then to start as a CM !

Gutted for him. Hope he isn't out for too long as per the post above, but he really was along with Pritchard my most promosing player for first team football. Thought this was going to be his great opportunity to get games and show what he can do. By the sounds of it he is already doing a good job for them. Shame there have been no streams so far

I was at the game on Saturday and if I am honest it was a bad thirty minutes for him.

He certainly had composure, but lacked presence and strength on the ball. You have to have those in central midfield.

He needs to physically improve imo. If that comes with age or training I don't know, but it needs to happen.

My first thought on the injury is that is more than a dislocation - but that is just going on instinct.

There seemed far more concern than that of a dislocated shoulder which from a physio point of view is really easy to deal with.

That reminds me - the local radio station pronounced his name and Velly-Ko-Vic, is that right?

I have always said Vel-Ko-Vich.
