Very good move as long as he plays. We could have a few youngsters returning from loan spells next season, ready to push for a first team place

Good luck Milos! He is an outstanding prospect so hopefully he will play a lot of games and improve even more by playing competitive football!

Its really getting interesting now as our Academy is now starting to reap the rewards of all the good work we undertook a few years ago. When you look at the names we have in our squad and out on loan it is impressive:

First Team - Rose, Townsend, Mason, Bentaleb, Kane.
On Loan - Archer (Northampton), Carroll (Swansea), Veljkovic (Middlesbro), Ward (Chicago), McEvoy (Peterbro), Coulthirst (Southend), Pritchard (Brentford), Hall (Birmingham), Fredericks (Middlesbro), Gomelt (Antwerp).
Sold - Livermore (Hull), Caulker (QPR), Luongo (Swindon), Obika (Swindon), Byrne (Swindon)

Out of all of those above, the oldest is Jake Livermore at 24 years old! It just goes show how good our academy is and with some of the potential we have coming through we could see a lot more players going on loan & getting into the first team.

Our youth setup has certainly taken a step up over the last five years - better players, better loan moves, and better career prospects for the players themselves (whether with us or not). I think Veljkovic can develop into a very good player, this should be a good move/test for him.

Wouldn't say that, but otherwise yeah

Early days. The same was said about Archer and Fredericks and they have ended up having plenty of game time.

not even on the bench tonight (n) surely the first line of any loan negotations from our side is "are you going to play him?".

Whenever I've watched him, he's looked look a tidy player, a very modern defender. Strange that he's not getting a game. I'd rather he train with our lot than train with theirs.

Came on after 63 minutes when Boro 4-0 up.

1. Impressive performance when he came on. Granted we were 4-0 up when he came on but liked what I saw. Tidy on the ball, quick in the tackle and opened them up twice for Adomah and Nsue to miss good chances.

2. Too early to say but he looks a good option to have and looks like he can open up a defence which I didn't expect. Thought he would just sit in front of defence but had more about him.

3. His 2 reverse passes were worth the admission.
Cool as you like.

Loved that he's already impressed them with his passing. One of his best traits

Sounds like a player we should be seriously looking at for our team... ;)

If he was playing for another team, we and lots of top clubs would be vying for his services.

If he's not starting for Boro, it would certainly make sense for us to have him in our squad - and even oif he is, he's certainly the type of player we need and might well replicate Bentaleb's feat last season of not looking out oif place afteer being elevated at short notice to Spurs first team.

Noone can predict how well he will do, but I really want him playing for our first team. Think, like Bentaleb, he would perform admirably and impress people. Unlike Bentapeb though I think he'll get less stick as it will be a Poch selection and he will get rotated nicely and won't be tarred with the Sherwood brush

Agreed, Would have been ideal if he had had one or two early run outs and then played yesterday to add a little zip and energy to a tired team.

Sure does.

The only thing he's lacking is first team experience......but the same was true of Bentaleb last season and we know that was a problem - not

Seems like he played in midfield.
Boro only playing 1 game a week so maybe he has to wait for the FA Cup to get a start. Maybe a game at Xmas?
