Isn't offering Roma Bentley and Keane enough for Roma to block all calls and faxes from Tottenham Hotspur FC

It's like a really bad joke that just gets worse the more you think about it.

Looks like Utd want him too. We'd have no chance if they put in an offer.

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, according to the player's agent.
The Montenegro international is tipped to leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer after five years with i Giallorossi, with a move to the Barclays Premier League a reported preference. Arsenal and Spurs have both been linked.
However, Manchester United now appear to have come to the table over the 27-year-old, with Alessandro Lucci revealing that a 'chat' has taken place between Old Trafford officials.
"The meeting with the leaders of Manchester United was yesterday," Lucci told lasignoraingiallorosso.it.
"It has only been a chat, in which no offers have been made nor was there an agreement sorted. The English club, however, really like Vucinic, but to see him with the shirt of the Red Devils, there is still work to do."
The news comes just a day after David Gill, chief executive at Manchester United, revealed the club would look to make one more signing this summer.
An attacking midfielder was thought to be the priority, with Wesley Sneijder heavily linked as Manchester United search for a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes.
Should they move for Vucinic though, competition appears to come in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur, with manager Harry Redknapp keen to shuffle his striking pack this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a number of players in the position this summer, and reports in Goal.com claim the White Hart Lane club are confident of securing a £15 million move for the player.
"As far as we're concerned, the Manchester United interest is a red herring,” a Tottenham Hotspur source told the website.
“We've been talking to Roma almost daily for the best part of two weeks and have never heard it mentioned that United may want him.
"Vucinic has indicated he is interested in moving to Spurs, his agent is probably trying to squeeze out the best possible contract for his client.”
The former Lecce star would join Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Robbie Keane in north London, although the Spurs boss is thought to be considering player sales to finance future deals.

Any truth in the Vucinic rumours?

Doovde: I spoke to someone at Spurs on Wednesday and there was nothing imminent to report on Vucinic at that stage. My personal view is that Vucinic is the third or fourth choice striker, behind the likes of Rossi and Adebayor. I don't think Redknapp's mentioned Vucinic - and let's be honest, he's hardly shy about talking about who he's trying to sign! I may be proved wrong on all of this of course, I'm just passing on what I know.

It would be daft not to look beyond Adebayor and Rossi though, both are unlikely, dearly hope this is untrue.

Sounds totally true, I always suspected that Vucinic was down the list of targets.

Alberto Aquilani signed from Roma for 17 million been a total flop at Liverpool, and he looked good in serie A, not saying Vucinic would of flopped but maybe a bullet dodged.

There was conflicting reports about that.

Going on Brownhead's info last night he was stalling. Juve come in match our offer and agree terms with him. Who knows though.
