Luka Modric testified Tuesday before the Osijek court at the trial of 57-year-old Zdravko Mamic. The former boss of Dinamo Zagreb is suspected of having diverted with his alleged accomplices 15.6 million euros, especially during fraudulent transfers. While cheating the tax of 1.6 million.
If a tax inspector and a Federation executive (HNS) Damir Vrbanovic are also tried, the big beneficiaries of these diversions would be Zdravko and his brother coach Zoran, amounting to 12 million euros.

Modric explains his Tottenham transfer
31-year-old Luka Modric headed off to the witness bar to comment on his transfer from Dinamo to Tottenham in 2008. He left England for Real Madrid in 2012: "I went to Tottenham for about 21 million euros and I received some of the money from this transfer," under an agreement with Dinamo providing half-and-half gains.

"When Tottenham money arrived on the Dinamo account, I received half of it, " he said. Subsequently, Modric took this money and in turn gave it about half to Zdravko Mamic by virtue of, he said, an individual agreement between him and his former boss. Appearing nervous throughout his testimony, Luka Modric pointed out that he had not given the money personally to Zdravko Mamic, but to the son and brother of the latter.

I want him back at Spurs - we can hire Rosie to manager his taxes; she's cheap, she'll work for treats

"Mamic made a big scene in the courtroom on Wednesday morning, quarrelling with his own lawyers before firing them in front of everybody, saying he’ll defend himself."

Sounds like he'll be fine… :)

"I've come to Zagreb to take my fat brown envelope of cash to your inner jacket pocket. If I don't do that now, we will never meet again."

I'm not sure what shocked me the most; that the independent stated that Luka got just (yes, JUST - what wording) 1.7 million pounds for signing, that Mamic pocketed about 8 million Euros from the deal, or that Luka is taller than Levy!
I can't believe how small the great leader is....

That photo has also helped clear up one of the great Tottenham mysteries for me, as all last season I was perplexed by the almost perpetual appearance of the bald 'AD' at Poch's side before and after games.
And there he is next to Mr Levy himself. I have finally found out that he is Levy's brother-in-law, ex-marine and player/manager liaison or perhaps, plain bodyguard, Allan Dixon.
Not very exciting information I know, but his damned initials have bugged me for a long long time!

Doesn't sound like we're implicated in it. Seems to be solely about Modric's testimony changing.

Thank you!

I had a cheeky selfie with Kevin Wimmer and AD at Burnley. Didn't have a clue who this AD guy was and couldn't find out.
