Dinamo Zagreb president Zdravko Mamic is in London for talks with several clubs including Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea over the transfer of Luka Modric. (The Times)

Modric is a very very good player but I would be surprised if we went for him.

As Evil says they are talking serious money and he plays in an area of the pitch that we aren't desperate in.

I would have thought that we are more likely to be in the market for a midfield enforcer. Unless of course Juande sees JJ playing that role and Modric as the more advanced of the 2 midfield players.

We're just being included to bump up the price I suspect. can't see us spending that much on anyone in January.

This just isn't going to happen, we are not top drawer for these types of players. Its a dream and we should be more realistic on who we can attract.

There has to be some doubts about whether Modric could handle the physical side of the game in England, he really is very slight.

That makes 20 million a very big gamble.
