I keep saying this, everyone thought our group was easy but we had three teams who are more experienced and better equipped to deal with CL, I don't think it's a such a disgrace not to qualify, maybe the circumstances in which we were eliminated wasn't acceptable but not surprised in the slightest we are out

Completely agree, this might be a tad crazy but i just put a tenner on Monaco to win the Champions League and why not. They are a very very good team. They have a younger starting 11 than us (nearly the youngest in Europe), but just that little bit more quality in attacking play. Bernado Silva is amazing, he will leave them this summer and become one of the best players in the world. They have so much pace, composure and skill to destroy teams and they also combine that with the experience we don't have, how to draw a foul and slow the game down.

Our group wasn't easy by any means, we have just had a really inconsistent start to the season with injuries, fitness, key players out or lacking confidence. It's far from great right now, but we are still surprisingly up there in the league and as much as Europa annoys me on a Thursday, i'd love a proper run at it. It adds to our experience as a team and playing against technically superior teams. We can only improve from all this.

It also shows Poch that players like Silva, Isco and Coric are much needed in our team and the main area we lack in.

A lesson for Spurs but not English football- the other English CL clubs are sailing through.

The big English papers I read stated that Spurs were lucky with their CL group draw and so I read Arsenal fan commenting on how lucky Spurs were with their group draw....so the common consent among the English "football world" was that Spurs would go through - as they are a English top team.
