I don't like it when players do this type of thing but this is football I'm affraid.

If he can do this to Southampton, a club that has given him the opportunity to make a living from football, improved him as a player, playing in League 1 to a player on the radar of one of the biggest clubs in the country he could easily do it to us in a couple years.

It's not the fact that he wants to leave and improve as a player, it's the manner he's doing it.

It could be done in the right way and show respect to the club and fans by keeping quiet, continue working hard for his current employers and letting his agent do the dirty work.

I'm not too bothered if he comes as I think we we have ample cover in that position.

It all sounds a bit 'Luka Modric' to me. Next we should see a grainy photo in the Daily Fail of Schneiderlin meeting Levy at a tapas bar. Poch should be quoted saying "Morgan was born to play for Spurs" etc

At least Levy has a bit of class and doesn't start spouting off to the media on how we are trying to get him but we have respect for Soton blah blah.

sounds like Southampton are possibly on the verge of imploding. with boroc upset about foster being number one, they could be in trouble this season.

been on holiday for three weeks so no idea how this has panned out with MS.

looking at the lad's stats, in an inferior side, they are pretty awesome.

Schneiderlin in front of an improved back four, with Hugo between the posts, we will be much harder to beat this season. We got stuffed too often last season, concede 15-20 less goals , and we MIGHT make the top 4.

Please sign him Daniel

Very similar circumstances to Modric. Looks like a rift which won't be patched up. Makes a change for us to be on the right side of this type of fiasco though.

I must admit that whilst I love MS as a player and I'd really like him in a spurs shirt, I'm not really proud of what is occurring here. I really do feel for Southampton. I know football is a tough business but they fought hard to get up to the EPL, made a bold decision to sack Nigel Adkins and now they have lost Porch, Lallana, Lambert, Lovren, Shaw and Chambers. These characters would be big personalities around the club as well as crucial first team players. The heart of the club really has been ripped out.

I do understand where MS is coming from, bit unfair to sell 5 of your good players and then begrudge MS a move just because he didn't get in first?

Even this goes through, I'll be happy, but I will also feel for Southampton and wish them all the best this year.

They are more likely to sell him to Arsenal since they have no hope of competing with them for top 4 but they probably see themselves as competing with us in the race for 6th place.

I would guess the verbal agreement got lost in translation. I would guess MS asked for a move and the reply was verbal abuse

According to the Saints fans, Koeman threatened to quit if he was sold. This may change as it looks like MS head has been turned more than the exorcist.

Then Koeman is an arsehole, he knew he was coming into a club that was cashing in.

interesting. always think its a sign of a weak manager if they threaten to quit if a player is sold. he should have already quit by now with the players sold.
