I remember the Crazy Gang at Wimbledon used to blast out music from Ghetto Blasters during HT.
I suppose it's all a bit more pasteurised these days.

Quick cucumber sarnie, cup of lapsang souchong, a quick blast of Ralph Vaughan Williams and back to it boys!

Might explain our recent form....

Bentaleb and Schneiderlin sounds like a great partnership, just the idea of it is exciting, and then disappointing when you realise it's not gonna happen :(

Why do you say that?

I think we have a decent chance of signing him if he is entering the last 2 years of his contract. A well run club like Southampton wouldn't want to be made vulnerable to losing a player for free of a massively reduced fee a year or so down the line.

I just feel that we missed the boat and if we were even gonna sign him, it'd be last year. It seems that he's gonna be very expensive so we might be priced out. And even if we're not, he could pick a lot of teams in a better position than us.

None of us like this but if you look at it from a neutral's or a player of a different club's point of view, why would he choose us over Arsenal (seems like our major competitor for his signature). Arsenal are in the UCL, would pay him more money and I'm pretty sure they'll start him so there's no worries about game time. I just think Schneiderlin will be too expensive and there's plenty of other team's he'd choose over us

I doubt Arsenal are even interested now Coquelin seems to have stepped up. Also Wenger said they will only be entering the market to sign real top end world class players as his squad is big enough. Schneiderlin is good but he's not world class.

If we can't get Schneiderlin, I hope one of the alternatives is Khedira. Might be a tad optimistic, but you never know.

Honestly, I hope not. I'd prefer some of the younger and quicker options there in the Bundesliga, such as Kramer, Xhaka, Baumgartlinger, etc

Geis

(Yes I know it's unlikely, let me dream dammit)

I am a massive fan of Geis. Said it last summer, either we grab him then or we're never going to have another shot at him. Kid was putting up ridiculous numbers in his debut season at the age of 19, and he has only pushed on this season, now sure enough the biggest are looking at him. I think he's a done deal to Dortmund, and I think that's the first thing Tuchel set himself to upon being handed the job.
