Good for you. He did. Who are you to tell anyone what they should do with their career?

I would have chosen the money.

I often think what sort of decisions I would have made if I had made it as a footballer (I was surprisingly good back in my teenage years). Pretty confident that I would have seen Spurs as the career aim, and wouldn't have left them for all the money in the world. But if I was at any other club I doubt I'd have given a shit where I was playing if I was being offered bigger wages. In another life I'd probably be writing this post from some far-flung place in China, sat on a solid gold sofa lined with panda fur.

hey - agree to disagree - at the time it seemed like a decision made very superficially and not the one he should have made. Have been proven right but he could have succeeded of course.

Nothing to do with having lillywhite glasses, everything to do with Poch and Morgans experience with him.

I'm pretty sure MS wanted to join Arsenal as his first choice (having previously wanted to join in us the previous summer) but Wenger didn't want him, or want to pay the price.

With an ageing Carrick, I would have thought MS assumed he'd get games. Still not sure why he hasn't.

I'm pretty astonished neither van Gaal and especially Mourinho, who loves a discplined, tactically aware, DM don't seem to rate MS.

Herrera's a good player but can play further forward. I figured MS would become a key part of The Not Special Anymore's central midfield setup, with Carrick as veteran backup / rotation.

Not only has Mourinho picked the useless lump Fellaini ahead of MS, but he's even restored Basti PIgFarmer from banishment to the first team squad.

So, is MS not as good as Poch thought? Or have van Gaal and Mourinho got it badly wrong?

If it wasn't for the emergence of Winks as a CM option, I would be expecting Poch to hijack any deal with the likes of WBA or Everton for MS.

West Brom, £13m? Can't see United accepting a bid that low.
BBC says 18, but it's a nice low public offer to get an auction going.

I'd be surprised if Man Utd let him go to a top 6 contender, though. Nice way to influence the league by controlling transfers.

Funny how people remember these things differently, Morgan Schneiderlin chose to come to us then Southampton reneged on their promise to him and refused to sell him.
We moved on, we had to, a year later they wanted more money and United were desperate to get players in so he went there.
We were never in it so he never chose Utd over us even he may have done if we were.
He would not be heading to West Bromwich Albion now if he had come to us but sadly for him he never actually got the opportunity to come to us.

I've heard that he is going to Everton. Practically done is what I've been told, the West Brom bid is nothing more than Pulis "helping out" his pal Jose to drive the price up.

He should be in Manchester United's first team as better than who they've been playing.

There is a part of me who would still love him here (especially as can rekindle partnership with Wanyama) BUT I love Winks more and wouldn't want his route to first team potentially blocked.

Right move but wrong club. After southampton pulling a West ham on us then selling us Wanyama on the cheap it makes me wonder. Everton would be a great move for him to get his career back on track

Also heard that it's Everton that have really unsettled Fonte.

di United also have Schwienstieger in the bench? Maybe Jose can't tell the difference.

Remember some ITK that he remained in contact with Poch and was having regrets over the move.

You can't blame Schneiderlin for testing himself at a massive club like United but it doesn't surprise me he's flopped.

Not that he's a poor player. Far from it.

I think he'd have been great had he joined us because:
a) Poch knew him
b) he would have fitted our style and less pressure to hit the ground running
c) our midfield is far better balanced and coached

United had about 5 different midfielders all around the same age competing for two spots. Not to mention Rooney who had to be shoe-horned in the line-up. I think it shows how poorly they have been run that a player who should be at his peak and bringing fresh life to the club has been binned without ever really getting a fair run.

A very good signing for Everton. They sign a quality number ten type in the summer and they'll compete next season.
