But, but, but Levy has shown us over and over it's impossible to keep a player who's head has been turned...:bored:
It is; Morgan Schneiderlin will leave Southampton, if not now, January, if not January next Summer, just like Luka.

Just a word on why Levy might not like Abramovich, to dislike him, so many reasons but can anyone actually give me a reason to like him?

....sadly I feel this one has Arsenal written all over it. Thus far I feel Poch has yet to get a first choice target in with us missing out on MS and MM.
Davies? Only LB we were really linked to this window and that was our biggest missing piece.

I think Poch would've taken this job realising that, as Spurs boss, you rarely ever get your first target. We've not got silly money to throw around like Chelsea or City, nor are we off the status of a club like that. Harder for us to land the big targets.

Most would say Arnesen poaching... but then again... richer, younger, better looking, better looking missus, the boat, the success, probably other things too!!

Well if Putin carries on like he is Mr Abramovich might find his assets frozen here and finding somewhere else to live. Oh how I would laugh

We probably would have got him had Southampton not sold 4 players beforehand. Problem was everyone else overpaid and set a precedent. They also put their foot down. Just bad timing I guess.

That's a fair point. Liverpool came in quick off the mark. If we'd have got in there first we'd have probably been able to nab him, but since we just got their manager they were probably unwilling to deal with us right away.

Moreover he's an excellent coach who is probably quite prepared to work with and develop what he has. We'll obviously try to improve the squad to his liking, which we're currently doing, but its not an absolute prerequisite for success - as far he or we are concerned, I'd imagine.

The only thing that concerns me though, is the talk of this other guy Stambouli, who I know completely nothing about. Poch must clearly be unhappy with our midfield and think it lacks something or else he'd work with what he's got, as you said. I always thought that the only reason we were after Schneiderlin is because he wants one of his tried and trusted players in. I assumed that if we were unsuccessful we'd just leave it, keep Sandro or whoever it is that would've made way for MS, and try to get MS in a later window. The talk of getting in Stambouli makes me wonder if Poch has given up on MS and sees this guy as being a perfect replacement with qualities that will match Schneiderlin's.
