In the eighties my mum gave away about 400 Spurs programmes I had collected. Among them was one from the 67' Chelsea Final. In truth though, it was the John White Memorial programme that I most regret her giving away. It was 'all white'. Can anyone remember who we played that night?

My only precious Spurs "items" are my memories, so the memories I've forgotten, which obviously I can't post because I can't remember what they are.

I used to have Danny Blanchflower kept prisoner in the cupboard under my stairs. 8 years I had him in there, but he escaped when the gas man came to read the meter and didn't lock the door properly. ****.

1981 Cup Final programme and an away tracksuit worn by Richard Gough in 86-87, given to me by his cousin. Sold on eBay when skint.

Of course, the memories are the most precious thing of all and I have many of them, some very personal, of the 60s teams and glory.

I gave one of my nephews all my programmes (going back to the 50s) and my own made up books full of autographed photos. When I asked to have a peek at them some years later, they weren't in evidence and I'm pretty sure he sold them when he hit hard times. That really upset me as I had some fantastic and irreplaceable stuff.

However, he did produce what I called my "spares" album which had loads more autographed photos and press cuttings and I've kept that one.

I have all the Double team's autographed photos in there and the most precious are those of the late John White. Sadly, there are none of Danny Blanchflower's and I had quite a few in the lost albums - and he wasn't easy to get either. I often managed to get him to autograph photos when other kids failed.

The other precious item I have is the "Glory, Glory Nights" book. On the inside cover is a picture of the European Cup Winners' Cup being passed along the gates at WHL and my friend Jill and I are there with other supporters, waiting to hold that precious cup through the gates. I was 15 then.

Didn't find that book until many years later so the surprise at seeing us having been snapped like that when we went to meet the team on their triumphant return home was pure serendipity!

I still have my blue, white and yellow vintage scarf too and wear it proudly in cold weather!

The 80/81 & 81/82 FA Cup singles.

God Bless Chas & Dave

Agreed. I had the 1981 single signed by all the squad, as they played at the golf course my uncle managed.

Didn't sell it, so must be around somewhere, but I'm buggered if I can remember where.

A few years back Robbie keane scored a hatrick against somebody (I can't even remember who it was but possibly Coventry ???), anyway, at the final whistle Kasey Keller turned round and booted the match ball straight up into the park lane upper just as me and my mate were shuffling along our row to exit. We both sort of caught it and thought "fuck me we've got Robbie Keane's hatrick ball". Now prior to this game Keano had been on fire, scoring plenty, and had just added another three. Being a tad supersticious, on the way up to NP we started to wonder if we were doing the right thing nicking the magical hatrick ball, but sort of talked ourselves into to keeping it.

Subsequently next couple of games Keane drew a blank. this carried on into the next couple until eventually we knew we had to return the ball to it's rightfull owner as we had somehow taken his mojo with the theft of the magical hatrick "orb". The following game we took the ball to the West stand foyer and handed it in with the strict instructions that it must be returned to Keane as it was his hatrick ball etc.(without explaining that his mojo wouldn't return if it wasn't as we knew we'd sound like the stupid ****s we were). Sure enough keane was soon back scoring. (can't remember if he scored that day but if not presumably because the steward didn't get the ball to him until after the game)

Spot on - I feel a little sad admitting it, being a grown man, but i was thinking about Ricky Villa snaking into the Man City penalty area when i went to bed last night...best goal to game importance ratio (if it exists) ever, excepting the Zidane volley in the Champs League final...nah, bollocks, it wasnt a replay was it! BEST GOAL EVER!

Spurs xi played a Scotish xi in his testimonial.

I double checked on wikipedia which confirmed.

Topical note: John White was killed at Crews hill Golf club just along the road from the new training centre.

A nice 8x12 action photo signed by Dimitar Berbatov.

Actually, I still have it but i'm going to sell it to raise funds toward the upkeep of SC.

loads of programmes which I've lost over the years - particularly miss the 1963 Spurs Athletico Madrid one - one of the jewels of my (ex) collection - ah well

just got a few ones now, don't bother buying programmes anymore, cos i'm useless at keeping that kind of stuff

My first ever Spurs shirt. It was a yellow one with Holston on the front and I gave it to my brother. He's now handed it onto someone else, so hopefully someone is proud to own it, but now I've got my own kid I wish I'd kept it for her.

I had a 94/95 home shirt that I got signed by Klinsmann and Mabbutt after Jurgens last home game of his first spell at the club.
After a row with a bird I used to live with she put it in the washing machine folded it up and put in my wardrobe not saying a word. It didn't take long for me too notice though.
I was of course furious but didn't want to give her the satisfaction of seeing me react so I said nothing.
A couple of weeks later I slashed all four tyres on her motor and again didn't say a word. To this day I have never told her it was me that slashed her tyres and she has never confessed to putting my shirt through the wash.

We weren't together for that much longer after that.

Tape recording of Jonathan Pearce going mental as we thrashed Man U at home on New Year's day. Very funny smiling just thinking about it.
