Didn't really show spurs dominance, but limited time I suppose. Interesting how much space the toffees left the likes of Eriksen and even Kane. Bad day at the office for them. If our boys were more clinical they'd have been smashed.

Pleased for Chrissy H, last time I saw him he was in Sainsbury Hoddesdon with a couple a bottles of wine at the checkout.

Hard to disagree with Shearer. 7 or 8 really good chances for Spurs today, Everton looked poor. I don't agree with Koeman and his 'we were too nice' comment about bookings. Usually the Everton crowd howl for everything from a disputed throw to the lightest of challenges.. the only one I can think of that could have been a booking might be Dier.

I think he meant his own players didn't go in hard enough. At least that's what I took from his comments. He didn't want red or yellow card challenges, but he wanted his players to show at least some aggression. Everton were pretty pathetic yesterday.

Mark Hughes and his hand shaking obsession never fails to make me laugh for some reason. When mourinho shook all his coaches hands but not his. :joyful:

It was pretty early when I was watching MOTD but I thought he meant Spurs were clever with tackles and they were too nice to appeal or over-sell it to get the cards. When I watched it live, Williams was booked then Dier was let off, and the commentators were moaning about consistency, and later Trippier had a collision with someone and escaped a booking. Either way, they were weak throughout.

Usually their fans howl for everything from a foul to a throw but during the live broadcast, they were showing Everton fans sitting back in near silence.

The ground emptied early also.

Pretty sad for Everton if that's his tactical answer.

Watford vs Man City.
Phil Neville uses his 'world class' rating again. This time on De Bruyne - he's on his way to becoming world class. Okay, fine, not disputing he is very good. He is. Has been for a few seasons now. But 'world class' is such an empty and subjective term. Is he the best in his position in the world? probably not. Is he top 5? maybe not. Is he top 10? maybe. Nev could just say he's an excellent player, one of the best in the league, and one of City's most important players, instead of adding KdB to this vague category. Some context, rather than just throwing out something Robbie Savage uses to define players.

Newcastle vs Stoke.
Atsu is running through and Zouma challenges him. Really hard to see whether it was a foul or Zouma gets the ball... commentator said maybe Zouma touched the ball. Newcastle players were furious. But then they got a corner and Lascelles scores anyway :D

Choupo Moting should score in the next scene. Crouch knock down and C-M blazes over. Diouf has a great chance just after, a header just wide.

Spurs vs Swansea.
Pundits believe there should have been 2 penalties. Definitely the one where Alli flicks it on. Shearer says. Nev thinks the Aurier one is - and not handball.

KDB can't be world class as he hasn't won anything :grumpy:.

de Bruyne will be player of the year, I personally do believe he is on the verge of confirming his world class status.
Glad to see they recognised we were badly treated by the ref but I don't feel any better that we were.

So glad our stadium announcer doesn't call scorers names in that horrifically annoying elongated fashion as the Man City bloke.
