That Ajax link is interesting. A name I haven't seen mentioned when the young Ajax talent keeps being brought up. We seem to think it is Kluivert. I really like the look of this kid. More of a box to box mid with the ability to use both pegs.

Especially with the idea that Watford link being most likely Richarlison, I could see the Ajax deal being more of a midfielder verse the young winger in Kluivert.
Hercules said potentially two players from Ajax. Perhaps Kluivert or Neres are "in the bag " whereas we are keeping tabs on De Jong.

I must say the links to the Ajax youngsters excite me. We generally know we are getting fantastically technical players.

We have a BRILLIANT relationship with Ajax ;)
I would go as far as saying, any other EPL came in, they have no chance, including citeh (opinion).

For those chiming about ‘pinch of salt ITK’ . Carry on with that, and you will loose the few remaining. I can give hundreds of examples when we have agreed a deal (in the bag), for things to come up that we were not aware of (Balde/RB) plus others. For it to change in the last minute. Details come out just before things turn, and we share it honestly. Does that make it contradictory?

I know for example that RS and twin is 99.999%. Can things change out of the blue? Yes. Hope it does not though.

As for me, I don’t care what people think, but other ITK’s (some), you are pissing them off by comparing. We do cross-reference. And I honestly have to salute Rob & A&C for their excellent work. Trust me, they are no mugs. Hence why I contribute to this site financially, when I can, and will continue to do so.
Ajax have quite a number of quality youngsters, we should buy them all lol

There’s no question Poch has looked to play with a single pivot in CM this season. Much like city with Fernandinho. Dembele showed in NLD and Leicester he can’t play that roll. So if we adopt the city formation we essentially need the De Bruyne type player. Someone who can pull the strings but also be a goal threat. The single pivot definitely makes us more potent going forward but leaves back 4 more exposed main reason we’ve conceded more imo. I think Poch wants much more fluid type players like city and dembele doesn’t fit that. If we can get the right player it could really transform us as a team.

You seem to be missing something.....The models are completely different. We look towards young, relatively unproven players who accept 20K per week whilst Citeh buy them in their prime for vasts amounts of money on 150K per week.
We will never buy the De Bruyne type of player as it doesnt suit the model, we buy players that would be 6th / 7th choice on Citehs list, which unfortunately, won't win you silverware.

Be sad to see Dembele leave. Maybe if he fancied a move and liked the idea of Inter, we could have a little chat with them regarding Kondogbia.

He's the natural heir to his throne IMO.

If we get a decent offer for him, I can’t see how we can turn it down. He is past 30 with serious injury issues

I keep thinking thas if we get a decentish offer for him, we should snap their hands off but at the same time, I really dont want us to sell him. I love him too much. He's such a beast. I dont care that he's half crocked. Plus, I really feel like our youth CM's could learn a ton from him. Seems like every interview from players with the first team you hear how he's either the best player or the one most difficult to get the ball from. Also, I could swear that I read Onomah(who we really should recall like immediately and give him Sissoko's minutes) has learned aton from him. So I would keep him.

I think a lot of that has been down to who has been fit. Most of the season we've been bare bones there due to Winks, Dembele and Wanyama all being out for lengthy periods. In addition to that Toby has been out and sanchez has had the red card. Last few games I think we've played 4-2-3-1 with Dembele back fit and Dier able to push up. I doubt we will play single pivot if we have players fit enough to be in there.

Also in games where we have had one recognised in there I would say that Sissoko has been used in and around there.
