I still think this has a decent chance of happening. Surely we'll come to some agreement whether it means us giving them more money to take him now or just settling for a loan back.

If we can't sign him now could we not just sign him on a pre-contract? I'm not too clear on the rules
Legally we can't. Only a foreign club can

I probably can't take the tension. Maybe.

Loan them a regular first team player, not likely.

Demebele-Dier-Eriksen-Chadli-Lamela-Alli-Carroll....
With Bentelab back, Mason to follow, we are fairly well-stocked for midfielders. Can't see why Fulham would take one in place of a striker, though.

they have just got a striker from sporting lisbon on loan so that covers that point

There's something I can't quite understand.
If we are willing to finish the window without signing a striker, why don't we still sign Dembele and loan him to Fulham like they want?
It makes no sense

Yeah I said the same elsewhere. If we want him so bad (and Poch obviously does), surely it's best (in the longrun) to just buy him now and loan him back.

Exactly we're just f**king ourselfs in the arse here. Fair enough we might think this team is good enough and not need to do business so why don't we just buy Moussa who potentially could be a very good player and loan him like we did with Alli.

Why pay 5M now when he can be had for less in the summer?

I'd imagine we're confident we can get him for free in the summer, instead of paying now then loaning him back.

Exactly what I said in the ITK thread, it's really baffling.
