He couldn't help what he was sold for, so there's no need for unpleasantness from some spotty little fucker doing half-term social media engagement cover at a firm of vile, heartless bookies.

Doesn't really sound like he's saying that to me, just that he he wants to play football with the World Cup coming next year.
That's fine, but surely he must acknowledge that he doesn't deserve to be starting based on his form? He's making out like he's being unfairly treated and kept out of the team by no fault of his own.

If he wants to play more and make the World Cup squad, he needs to be looking at himself and how he can improve, not Poch.

I think I saw another quote yesterday or the day before where he said the team was playing so well this year he understood why. I don't think he's being a dick, it's just better for both parties if he starts looking elsewhere.

What quotes are you reading...? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...o-might-time-leave-spurs-worst-season-career/

Saying he expected more playing time (he would've got it if he'd played better), saying that Poch should communicate more, saying that if Poch doesn't think he's good enough, he needs to know now so that he can leave (how about you stay and try to fight your way in to the team, rather than quitting?) etc. He's blaming everybody except himself. He hasn't once commented about how poor he was this season and how maybe he needs to look at himself if he wants to get in to the WC squad.

I don't dislike him, in fact I really was willing to give him another season at least to prove himself, but those quotes aren't what I want to hear from one of our senior squad players. Don't just give up and leave if he doesn't rate you, put in work and prove to Poch that you're a good player and he was wrong! Show a bit of fight, man.

I hadn't seen that. I was going on the article posted above: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...fter-failing-to-break-into-side-a3552021.html

Moussa Sissoko urges Tottenham not to block summer exit after failing to break into side

The midfielder told L’Equipe: “I don’t think [the fee] will be a problem. They know I am no longer a kid: I am 27 and I need to get to the World Cup. If a situation arrives where I can leave, I hope they don’t cause problems.

He has known for ages he can go if an acceptable offer comes in.

Any indication as to what an acceptable offer would be? I suppose it's all dependant on what we've already paid for him, but I think we'd be laughing if we got anything upwards of £15m.

The quotes used by british media are a bit misleading.
I read the full interview, he said he joined a squad that performed well last year and continued to do so this year, so he understands his low playing time. However he was expecting to play a little more and he is concerned about the World Cup.

Also, while he did say it was "the worst season in his career", the whole quote is "individually it was the worst season in my career, but collectively it was my best".

I popped the above into google translate, and apparently it means 'I'm really bad, but they're really good'.

To be fair PaddyPower is a great twitter account. Their Fan Denial tweets are brutal.

In Sissoko's defence, after signing we evolved a system he isn't suited to. I'm namely talking about the system consisting of 11 players and a ball on a grass pitch.
