To be honest its not sissoko's fault is it really, we've had plenty of players over the years far worse than him but just unfortunately for him hes joined us when we are on our upward curve and been founding wanting technically.

For the most part I love twitter - and social media more broadly - and everything it stands for. It's influence on worldwide communication, news consumption, setting agendas, gathering opinions etc has been so thoroughly groundbreaking and represented a fundamental shift in the way different parts of your community, country and the entire world relate to each other.

But, yeah, for all the good it has done, and for everything it represents, as a massive communication system that involves hundreds of millions of people it's always going to attract its fair share of fuckwits. Too many people don't realise that despite their wages and their privileged, almost esteemed, place in society, footballers are actually human beings as well and just as susceptible to online harassment and abuse as anyone else.

Also, it completely undermines what it means to be a 'fan' or 'supporter.' I don't particularly rate the guy that highly, but I respect the fact that every time he pulls on the shirt he works his socks off. That’s because he’s always shit. He’ll always be shit because all he has in his locker is effort and physique. Dele, Son and others might have shit games or a series of games but we at least know they can play well and change a game. Sissoko never has and never will change a game. He’s stealing a living as a Prem footballer and taking a place on the field that should be given to someone else. He wouldn’t have got near the team for the previous 2 seasons and he still shouldn’t be imo.
