Let us assume for the moment that Levy is right and the Northumberland plan is ruled out economically.

Would most of us accept that moving to Stratford is the next best thing or stay with our 36000 capacity stadium.?

I am afraid I am a traditionalist on this. We are a North London club not an East London one and I for one would prefer us to fight for 4th place every year from our present base than move to anywhere outside or very close to N17 even if that move would give us bigger crowds and more money.

I thought it must do but I didn't see it . I am surprised it is not a sticky item.

I'll pass if that's okay, as if I haven't got my views across already I never will.

Besides, the choice is not between staying at WHL and Stratford, it's between staying at WHL, the NDP and Stratford.

Levy has not ruled out the NDP, just that there is a question mark over it's viability.

NDP would win by a landslide though, he wants to gauge fans' opinions on the other two possibilities.

" I must once again repeat the concerns we have about the viability and deliverability of the NDP " sounds pretty much ruled out to me.

"I did not have sexual relations" also sounded pretty conclusive until the spunk stain was identified.

And why is that ? I am curious to know out of the 2 alternatives which one SC members prefer. I am not saying they are the only 2 choices, as has been pointed out almost every fan would prefer the NDP .if the NDP does get ruled out the poll will indicate how much anti feeling there would be to moving to the East End. So far not too much. Which surprises me !

The choices in this poll are misguided. That is not the choice that we are being faced with. Below are the real choices:

1) Stay in Tottenham, spend 450 million on new ground and wait possibly upwards of 4 years to get it.

2) Move to Stratford, save money, etc etc.

Either way we get a new ground. One way we spend more and it takes longer, the other the opposite. At no point has Levy indicated that staying in WHL as it stands right now is an option.

Staying may not be an option in Levy's mind right now mostly because he wants the Stratford move. If Spurs fans were demonstrating in their thousands that they don't want to be an East End club then staying put might be forced on him as an option. But it seems I am in the minority about that and most are ok with the Stratford Hotspur plan.

Stratford will take longer than the NDP as building can't start for another 18 months. The NDP can start once the accountants sign off on the s106 as it has now been agreed between the club and Haringey and that was the last obstacle.

And I'm still not sure about saving money, especially now it's been announced we will also be looking to build an extreme sports centre, bars, restaurants and cafes at Stratford.

I would love for us to stay in North London and build a new stadium there, but if Stratford is the way forward, I'll accept it as well, as long as the name Tottenham Hotspur remains.

The poll is flawed because it is based on a theoretical situation and the assumptions that you've made are just that, assumptions.

I'm curious why a lot of people seem to be more reluctant to give up our name than our home. To me our home is far more important than our name, but perhaps you could enlighten me?

My original poll covered ten possible outcomes but not it seems, the one the bookies are suggesting is favourite......both bids being rejected by those judging and the OS being a downsized athletics venue for 25,000(the origunal plan) Thus in the short to medium term we will be at our 36,000 WHL for a while yet even if DL is just playing brinksmanship over the seemingly more expensive NDP

Ahhhhh......because Im not from London mate. When I was first introduced to this great club way back in 81, it was Tottenham Hotspur, not the club from North London. That's probably why.

But dont get me wrong, I would still love for us to stay there if possible, but the future of the club is more important.

But the club is Tottenham, as soon as you move it out of Tottenham it will cease to exist and become another club, so I agree the future of the club is more important, but the only way it has a future is to remain in Tottenham.

I don't agree that Levy is saying the NDP isn't viable, he's just saying it's not going to be easy. Of course moving to stratford has it's drawbacks too, mainly that we wouldn't be able to start work until 2012 whereas we might start work on NDP this summer. Moving to Stratford would mean another year in limbo

I'm curious why a lot of people seem to be more reluctant to give up our name than our home. To me our home is far more important than our name, but perhaps you could enlighten me?

Our name is our identity, where we play is just where we happen to play. Just as my name is my identity whereas my house is just where I happen to live. It's not easy moving house of course but I don't change when I move house, I don't feel like the new occupiers have taken part of my identity.

Same with me, I've never lived in North London so I've never had that feeling of it being the local club (although it is the closest to me here in Woodford) and so I don't really mind us moving to Stratford although if I did live in Tottenham I'd be livid.
