Since he signed a 6 year deal at United - been sacked twice, resigned once, and still has two years remaining on the original contract...

Poor manager.

Would have been fuming if I was a Sunderland fan at the start of the season when he said they were going to be in a relegation scrap. What kind of message does that send out to the players? Negative and uninspiring. I actually don't think their squad is 20th in the Premier League awful but of course it's everyone's fault but his.

The early pages of this thread are gold, everyone bricking it because we weren't going to get Van Gaal anymore, there is even one post worrying we are going to get the guy at Southampton (not going to quote it as not going to call anyone out on a 3 year old opinion ;)) -amazing the difference a few years make :D

Agree with all the comments. Moyes is a total idiot. I'll never forget that Man Utd v Fulham game where the sole tactic was to just continually hit crosses into the box for 90 minutes. How he did well at Everton is the real mystery.

Will probably say he failed at Sunderland because they failed to sign Fabregas, Bale, Ronaldo and Kroos. Also folks don't forget he also likes to intimidate/threaten women if they irritate him.

Intimidate women?

That was clearly a joke. A bit old school but obviously nothing malicious.

I feel a bit sorry for him. He did a good job at Everton, and was always very respectful when talking about Spurs. The United job really was a poisoned chalice.

I think his "success" at Everton was overplayed. He has moments where they had excellent season but always fell short in the cups and generally struggled to build on successes which resulted in them being a mid table yo yo team.

At Everton he was known as Dithering Davie because he took so long to assess potential signings. 24 times to decide whether to sign Lescott from Wolves. 2m initial payment. It wasn't that much of a risk! Indecision has cost him throughout - except when he said Sunderland weren't good enough back in September, he managed to stay on until May at least. Probably because they didn't want to pay him off during the season.

Absolutely pointless manager, you know when you look at people you instantly know that they're bad at their job, he doesn't inspire confidence at all.

Hard to see him getting another PL job.

He'll end up at Forest, Ipswich or somewhere for a few months before being sacked for finishing lower mid table. He'll finish out his career with an uninspired stint as the Scotland boss where they fail to qualify for both the Euros and World Cup.

Thismust have been another joke then. I'm sure the ladies involved found it hilarious.

He took offence to the question and had a rant. Nothing gender related was said. What if the person interviewing was a man and he took offence and had a rant?

Tenuous. That article itself states that no sexist or gender-specific language was used. So basically your point is that a football manager has occasionally fallen out with the press. Shocker!
