Great to see him making the most of his chance, this will be a big confidence boost for him and the others from the youth set up.

He sounds like the type of player in the past we have let go for almost nothing to see him then go on to captain a competent team and do well given more first team action.

Since he can actually use his left foot it makes more sense to use him in our current squad especially given that Bale will be out for three months. didn't see the game but Clive walker stated he had a sweet left foot when he came on. It will be satisfying to watch MOT'D tonight in the hope it's true.

he has got a great lefty, but one of his big problems is he is almost totally reliant on his left foot.

he's quality. Whilst everyone else is raving about Adel Terrible, O'Hara is the real future of THFC

I really hope he becomes a regular, it would just be interesting to see how it pans out as can he play with Jenas - they're both attack-minded midfielders but I also feel that maybe Jenas is able to do the sitting role as he did start alongside the very attack-minded Boateng today...

Jenas had a great game today, impressed me with how hard he worked getting back - Zokora looked more confident in defence as well, if a little frustrated at times to not be getting forward.

O'Hara gave us a real firework down that side, and he showed that he's got a sensible head on his shoulders, as mentioned earlier, and didn't get careless.

Good technique too, but what impressed me the most was how composed he was and how natural he looked slotting in with the rest of the players. Great prospect, gives me a lot of hope where i was in doubt

Great start for the young lad. Immediately looked pretty comfortable, and certainly no fear. The other players were confident in him from the get go, and he really caused Pompey problems in his short time on the pitch.

he seemed really calm on the ball, he did lose it once but got straight back again, and he made eveyone of his passes count which is more than i can say for most of the sqaud. unlucky not to score

What a great debut by O'Hara today. Hope to see more of him in the first team if he continues like this.

For the record, O'Hara definitely played LM with Steed moving inside to take the Prince's place in CM.

Don't want to fall into 'Taarabt syndrome' but that was a fine 15 mins from the boy. As others have said his passing and holding on to the ball was terrific. But I also liked the fact that when there was just a few minutes to go he had a chance to run down the wing, but it would have involved a risky dribble, so rather than lose the ball, he doubled back and used his body to shield while he looked around for a simple pass.

And that grin at the end shows that he knows he did ok. Can't wait to see more of him.

Well, you won't, because he did far more than perform a few bits of fancy footwork before falling over. He may not have the show-pony tricks, but he does have a footballing brain and is a genuine team player.

one thing i wasnt sure about from hearing it on the radio, but seeing the highlits did show this happen!

Lets just hope O`Hara gets afew more chances, Ramos must have liked what he has seen in training, jumped right ahead of afew other midfielders onto the bench
