Am I right in thinking that we took him from the Arsenal youth set up at 16 or 17?

Scarlett looked so comfortable on the ball you'd think he had 10 years experience at full level. Let's hope he can make the breakthrough

Yup, we rescued him from Wenger's evil clutches....

If I remember correctly, O'Hara was big mates with Ifil from their England youth team days. I've heard that O'Hara may even be a genuine Spurs fan, but I'll leave confirmation or denial of that to those who know the lad....

he looked good for sure but he is definately not a left midfielder doesnt have the pace. Looks to have quality on the ball though some really nice passes and good footwork. Well done to the lad.

 Are others here old enough to get the reference? Frankly my Dougal, I don't give a damn!

JO didn't get a chance to show his fine passing ability nor much of his tackling, so lots more good stuff to come from him.

On what little I saw I do think that there is a suitable vacancy next to Steed.

Zokora seems 200% better played in the back four and improved Kaboul as a result.... so there's a shuffle.

If you mean that Zokora is so much better in the back four there is an answer on that. When he plays in defence, he has 3 other pacy players alongside him. Lee, Kaboul and Chimbonda.

When he plays in midfield, he usually plays together with Huddlestone or Jenas in central midfield. Very often they opt for the long ball, and they often slow down the play. They do not have the same pace as Zokora. That is one of the main reasons why we have not seen the best of Zokora in central midfield. He needs another pacy central midfield player to play alongside him. Then, we will see the best of Zokora.

This is actually true. Think about it.

I'm not sure I agree there. I wouldn't say Jenas is slow at all... or Lennon for that matter. While I like Zokora his passing skills and creativity seem rather limited, to blame that on Jenas or Huddlestone isn't fair.

Having said that I like him further back, and hope he keeps it up.

But hes white and English SK?

There are many good white players - I have never denied that.

He has one good subs apps under his belt now. Don't let us expect too much of him. I have to admit that I am not so sure he will become a squad player at Spurs despite this positive performance he had. Time will tell, but he has to play good regularly if he wants his chance again.

Always positive to get a surprise from a player. Let's just hope hw continues.....

Are you honestly trying to claim that Lennon and Jenas are slow????!

I wouldn't disagree with what you say there, largely as I hadn't thought about it that way.

More that Zok seems better mopping up and tackling in the back four and whilst his distribution forward was never poor in my view, his runs forward were.

And less falling over  and hitting passing ice cream vans with shots  in my book, are POSITIVE things.

I have never said that Lennon are slow.

What I said, was that I think the Jenas or Huddlestone slow down the play, with the way they are playing. A player like Jenes is not actually a slow player, but the way he passes and play his game does not always get the pace out of him. He is quite pacy, but he don't use it that much as he should do. Sometimes it seems like he gets tired, and do not want to run so much. (He also have some matches where he really gets his pace up, though).

I believe so. It's a fascinating tale involving genetic cloning, a condom machine, four buckets of sheep slop and a packet of Ritz.

And, FYI, the plural of Lennon is Lennon.

Finally got round to downloading the game last night and saw his cameo. Impressive indeed, and the commentators liked him too. Paul Walsh said "he's not wasted a single ball" and he was right.

Still, they say in Spain that Xavi hasn't given the ball away in his career, so I'll temper my enthusiasm for now!
