Hi all,
Weder's pitch was massive! And it made me question why do we have such a narrow pitch at the Lane?
I mean we relie on our wingers heavily, so does it make it easier to get the ball out on the wing. But in all these games that we struggle to score eg Wigan it seems so easy for teams just to put 2 banks of 4 in their own half and its like threading a thread through the top of a nail, there is absolutely no space....
If we had a wider pitch it would allow more space in the middle of the park which would be very useful to the likes of VDV Modric and Hudd. We would also be able to ping the ball from wing to wing as we did today.
I can understand someone like Stoke creating a small pitch to make it more of a physical game and making their long balls more effective... But Spurs???? We're meant to be playing good football!
