Oduwa great run again, this time offside (guessing the RB as Oduwa looked on)

Getting more involved, and calling for the ball and for options when he has it. Can see him starting on the bench again next game, but after that hope he gets a start

But the RB wasn't involved for the pass to Oduwa, and was behind Oduwa when he got the ball. That's not offside

his position for the ball over gives him an advantage when the ball is crossed in, even though he is behine Oduwa

Ye but isn't it the same as when a player is offside ina counter attack. The ball gets sprayed wide and they run along side the winger

Any truth that @BBCAlLamont has just called Nathan Oduwa's trick "immoral"?

I don't mind those tricks, if anything your own team(mates) should get annoyed if they don't work and not the opposition, I think though at some point the opposition are going to really lose it with him. We saw what happened with Neymar a few months back.

I don't know why players do that trick in games anyway. It's really not all that difficult a trick if they're trying to show off, and it very rarely comes off. Any player worth their salt aren't going to just stand still and let you get around them that way.

Lengthy but interesting article on move to Rangers - seems a few English Championship teams were interested in both

Rangers boss Mark Warburton seals double loan deal for Spurs starlets Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball
THE Ibrox manager clinches the captures of highly-rated duo but misses out on Harry Winks.

RANGERS have clinched a double loan deal with Spurs for highly-rated youngsters Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball.

Record Sport can reveal both players travelled to Glasgow tonight and will undergo medicals in the morning before putting pen to paper on season long deals.

Ibrox boss Mark Warburton has been thwarted in his attempts to land a third Tottenham young gun, midfielder Harry Winks, who has been told he will have a part to play in Mauricio Pochettino’s first team squad this season, in the London club’s Europa League campaign.

But Warburton will be delighted to have pulled off the captures of 19-year-old attacker Oduwa and 20-year-old centre half Ball who were both being courted by a string of clubs from the English Championship.

Harry Winks is not coming to Rangers

Oduwa was particularly highly sought after with Reading, Brentford and Birmingham City all hoping to strike a deal with Spurs for the left sided wide man.

Defender Ball is also thought to be a player with a big future. In fact, he was recently persuaded by the FA to switch nationalities and play for England’s under 21s after representing Northern Ireland at five different age levels from under 15s up.

Warburton, then, will see their arrival at Ibrox as something of a coup and an endorsement of his own methods. He forged a close working relationship with the White Hart Lane hierarchy during his time in charge at Brentford where he took a number of youngsters on loan from the Spurs academy.

One of them, Alex Pritchard, was such a success at Griffin Park last season that he played his way into the England under 21 squad for this summer’s European Championships in the Czech Republic and is now knocking on the door of Pochettino’s first team.

The Argentine believes both Oduwa and Ball can now benefit similarly from regular first team football under Warburton in Scotland.

A source said: “It’s a reasonable coup for Warburton to convince Spurs that these players will benefit more from a season working under him in the second tier of Scottish football than they would at clubs in the English championship.

“Not only are they working with a manager that Spurs know well but they are also getting the chance to play in front of crowds of around 50,000 every second week and that is also a big factor behind the decision. The feeling is, if they can cope with that sort of pressure then it can only help them deal with playing in front of 36,000 at White Hart Lane.”

Oduwa and Ball will train with their new team-mates for the first time on Friday ahead of Rangers’ Championship trip to Alloa on Sunday.

Warburton took his squad to the Indodrill Stadium today to let them train on the heavily criticised synthetic surface as the Englishman prepares for his second league game in charge.

49 posts so far on the Nathan Oduwa Appreciation thread - not bad for a 30 minute cameo

Some quotes:

"The ease with which he went past defenders was superb to watch "
"Love him. He's clearly been told to showcase his skills, cheeky as [CENSORED]"
"Certainly got the flash. Had a few nice pieces of play and a few where he could have done better. Too early to judge, let's not get carried away."
"Absolutely brilliant to see such confidence and flair. We are going to be treated to some fantastic pieces of skill from him this season. Can't wait till we pump hibs next weekend."
"Guys just put another 10000 season tickets in the ground"
"Not sure about him. Talented and skilful no doubt. I feel like he plays like an individual, and we're developing into a good team without many standouts."
"In terms of oduwa, hes only been here a day or two so will not be fully dialed in to what the manager expects from him. I'm sure we will send plenty of flair and dribbling skills but as long as he's doing them at the right times and in the right areas everyone will be happy. He's shown more in 15 mins than Templeton has in 15 months."
"Convinced he was connected to a [CENSORED] ps4 controller today and some [CENSORED] was doing fifa skills with him"
"He runs at defenders with a lot of pace and power, can see this lad being a [CENSORED] hero by the end of the season. He is going to absolutely torture some of the mediocre defenders in this league"

Oduwa comes on about 4:00 in. Video doesn't show any of his tricks but a couple of his near-assists.
