I wonder with both whether they've learned as much as they are going to at Rangers - playing in a first team and in front of big crowds, but what they are neither getting is playing with and against a good quality player.

I worry as well about Oduwa being targeted as much as he has been - it seems to be much worse in SFA than it would be at (say) Millwall or other traditionally 'rough' Championship side, so whilst handling rough tactics is part of the education a loan gives, it may be better to bring him to an environment where its physical but not 'common assault' territory.

Whilst I'd love to see him back at Spurs I'm not sure how much playing time Oduwa would get - and given Wimmer's lack of playing time, the same would apply for Ball. although arguably he could be the Dier alternative (and indeed no 3 RB)

I am sure there would be a championship team begging to have them.

I more meant learn from a tough period form wise rather than physical challenges.

Think a midtable team for Oduwa would be best. He would struggle to break into a team doing well and struggling teams wouldn't risk it.

If Townsend leaves and we don't get a new striker, I hope we recall Oduwa. I think he would be a great option off the bench and a better option than playing Onomah wide. With the arise of Dembele, Alli and Caroll though, it has pushed Eriksen out wide, meaning there is little chance of game time for our wide players.

I think Son is a better option off the bench than Oduwa. We already struggle to give everyone playing time, another player in the squad would just add to that problem.

And people want us to recall him?

He's not there yet.
Judging a player on a poor loan move doesn't he isn't there yet after all that would mean Mason has never been there yet.

At the end he isn't probably ready but recalling him isn't a silly idea as he does a skill set not seen a lot these days and something we are lacking

But Mason was ready to come in, you can see it mentally and physically, he had matured as a player and a person where as Oduwa still needs to grow up.

Oduwa needs to have a season where he needs these kinds of things happen to him like being dropped from the first team, as well as needing the experience of fighting to get back into the team, with us he'll make the odd cameo appearance and be under even more pressure.

And according to Kane's last loan move he wasn't there yet. Oduwa can play for us now in EL as a sub to make an impact. Not working out atm at Rangers, prob should go L1 for game time, he's not going to get minutes with us this season with Pritchard due back

Two weeks in a row Oduwa hasn't made the squad, his days are numbered especially with O' Halloran expected on Monday! Won't be missed sadly.

Oduwa left out the squad again, don't think he was ever good enough anyway

This myth that Warburton hasn't put a foot wrong re signings ?? Wilson , Kiernan , Ball , Zelalem, Oduwa all poor.

Greatful bunch, oduwa was there shining light start of the season, ball has played well they are 6 points clear.

Oduwa might be better coming home, home comforts, friendly faces, and GBH is banned in the EPL.

Amazing how opinions of him have gone south so quickly. I think that after his initial success, he changed his playing style as a result of all the heavy challenges on him. But maybe he didn't have enough in his overall game to be able to contribute.

Sensible to recall him - started very well but the Scottish refs had no interest in protecting anyone with skill. Maybe he tried to adapt his game but not sure on that, but hasn't played that much after one too many bad tackles and right to recall him.

Option off the bench for us after a great pre-season but more likely a loan to a League 1 or championship side.

Rangers fans equally surprised.

Opinions range from '

'Seems odd. I'm quite disappointed with him leaving. He's definitely useful and helluva entertaining on his day.
All the best to him.'

'After that disgraceful challenge made on him in the home game versus Livingston in the petrofac cup he seemed to regress. Definitely a player in there though.'

'The best for his career, he was targeted almost immediately.
You're not allowed skill in Scotland '

and

'Kicked out of Scotland by the thugs in this league;

to :

'.Could be a sign ohalloran [Edit - new signing ] is imminent and oduwa didnt think he would get much game time'

and the inevitable few (but not a lot) saying 'not good enough for us' .

Most wishing him well etc
