44' Super run from Oduwa, surging through the gears down the left, gets to the byline and wins a corner. Fantastic wing play 1-0 Town.

Scouting through twitter and it seems that he is a class above league 2. Every attack is going through him.

Luton defender sent off after 67 minutes - unfortunately Oduwa subbed to bring on new defender

Love all these comments if you search Oduwa on Twitter. From today's game. none of these were from Luton Twitter feeds which include his play and mentions his tricks but are all the fans.

@AndyBurgess11 Seen Oduwa yet Burge? You'll love him, pure box office...

Well impressed by Oduwa today. Took a while to get in game but when on the ball he scared the life out of defence with his pace & tricks.

Great 3 points for the town, smudger was outstanding again, pleased for Cullen scoring, impressed again with Oduwa #COYH

Oduwa is on fire

@HatterHollands his assist to Cullen was a quality pass, oduwa is a different class

Dear Luton, Just give Oduwa the ball. Warmest Regards.

Forgot to add. The main 'concern' or 'doubt' that gets levelled at Oduwa is the same as the one when he moved up from u18s which is whether his dominance was due to his size. However he dispelled that myth at u21s and he is now doing it in League 2 which is meant to be the most physical. His pace and skills will do him very well we don't have to question whether he can make the physcial step up. The only thing he could naturally improve is his decision making which cha be said about most young players, besides his end product isn't bad anyway. Could just be refined

No surprise he was way too good for League 2, just glad that he is proving it
I think this is a good loan for him. Looking good at U18 and U21 doesn't always translate into league performances (see Obika) so its great to see him prove his talent at this level. Maybe he could have got a League 1 loan, but at LTFC he's getting lots of playing time with a true football playing team, which is by far the most important thing at that age. The pressure situation of fighting for promotion is also a great experience for him.

The thing is a league 2 loan is a bigger risk than a league 1 loan. For example so far Ball has had a nightmare at cambridge but imo he is better than that level. Sometimes its just not right system or club regardless of how good a player is.

Also he is better than some of the players who went to swindon imo.

Worth mentioning Obika's biggest problem had been injuries and getting starts otherwise he has a decent record like at Charlton

Really excited about this fella. Think he will be contending for a first team spot within the next year or two.

It'll be interesting to see what the plan is for him next season. He'll be 19 next season, so I'm sure we'd be looking for a loan to challenge him a bit if at all possible. I'm not sure if a Championship loan is exactly reasonable, but if he were to really flourish at Luton Town and gain some exposure, I guess it could be possible.

It would be nice to put him in a club with a similar tactical philosophy to our own.

I've a hunch we might look to do partner with MK Dons, with this in mind.

If they hang on to Karl Robinson and maybe even go up a league, they'd be an excellent place to send Oduwa etc.

I think he'd manage in the Championship tbh. If we are unsure then do a half season League One loan, and maybe second half Championship. Just need to get them good loans and not waste their talent.

Yeah, I agree. I just don't want what's happened to Veljkovic (though, to be fair about 50% of it is down to poor luck) happen to Oduwa. The worst thing that could happen is he goes somewhere and simply rides the bench or only gets a few minutes at the end of matches.

He has pace, sizes and skill, which means managers are more likely to play him.

He probably just needs to get league football. He could easily stay in division one or two next season. He is only 19 after all. No need to rush him.

Hit ctrl+f and type Oduwa for it to be narrowed down.

These comments are from separate threads. For @DaSpurs I remember having this conversation with you in the Gray thread. It is obviously not visual evidence but whereas skill/technical level will significantly imrpove on average as you go up through the leagues, I imagine physical ability would remain relatively constant. So these guys' comments will give you an idea of how quick he is. Whilst also commenting on his ability.

"Boy this guy is good - goes from almost standstill to full speed in minimal strides!!

Must scare the crap out of defenders when he running at them.

Our team has been missing this - friggin exciting to watch.

Enoch moment in 2nd half when he was left up on halfway and nearly broke free!"

"Not sure if he will start tonight but I am really looking forward to watching him play.

He was impressive when he come on at Oxford. I have not seen someone in a Luton shirt for a long time go past opposition players with such ease like he did.

The guy is bloody quick!

Fantastic to read these. We need speed badly, so hopefully this loan will accelerate his path into the first team. Would like to see us find him a Championship loan next season if he continues to do well.
