Is anyone on here interested in NBA?

With the playoffs starting this weekend, I wondered who people 'supported' and fancied to win?

Don't watch it as often as I'd like to, but I've always followed San Antonio, purely because of their name.

Wanna try and watch the playoffs if I can.

Couldn't give a shit, but the San Antonio Spurs are the only ones i know what they're up to because they get mixed up in my social media feeds. They even use #COYS for gods sake!

OKC fan here, tough matchup against the Grizzlies for us but at least we didn`t get the Mavs! Hopefully we can squeak past the Grizzlies, then probably the Clippers before we sweep the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals!

Will OKC finally live up to their hype and potential?

Yeah, I did 30 minute's googling t'other day. I'm now an expert on all things NBA.

We are certainly championship contenders, last seasons playoffs were a disaster for OKC, we lost to the Grizzlies, but we had Westbrook injured, so hopefully he can stay fit and tear it up with KD.

Yes. Westbrook and Durant on form and healthy make you the team to beat it seems. The West is, apparently, always strong though. Never an easy draw.

Never taken much of an interest in BBall before. Some impressive specimens playing the game. Especially when you remember the guys who look like midgets out there are general all 6'+ and usually about 6'3".

Best of luck to your Thunder anyhoo.

The Raptors-Nets game is the only series I'll be bothering with from the eastern conference. They've had a bit of a rivalry this season with some really tight affairs decided by few pts between them. I want to see the young, talented Raptors win, but I'm interested in seeing how the Nets' veterans (several past their prime though) will challenge them. Probably the series with the biggest contrast between age and experience of the players

Game starts in an hour approximately

Ta for the background. Have a work mate arriving in a couple of mins who is huuuge NBA Fan. His 76ers were um, er, well the less said the better this season. He's still optimistic for the future though. Anyhoo, I have my very own septic to guide me through some of the nuances of the game tonight.

Looking forward to it. Go Raptors and so on and so forth.

Big night for the Thunder. Could be a one and done for them. One too many alphas in the team maybe.

I'm waiting for Toronto to majorly screw up, seeing as I've latched onto them. It's tight so far but no disasters yet.

Great win for OKC, starting Butler over the shooting guard who doesn`t score and actually giving Adams some decent minutes made a huge difference, the Grizz are tough so game 7 could still go either way, Westbrook played smart and great to see KD shut the doubters up.

Adams is going to be a hell of a player. Just a rookie and he's already dominating the lane at times. I think you'll do it. If Conley is out, it'll be a blowout.

I never realised how quick the games were. I know they're only 48 minutes long but yrs of watching 3 hr "60 minute" games of NFL have conditioned me I guess.

Toronto had the chance. Just couldn't take it at the end. They seem to have a big girl's blouse playing centre also. Softest 7 foot guy eva!

Must admit, enjoying the western conference games more. Thunder - Clippers should be a belter of a series.

Some bad calls towards the end, too. Shame, as Toronto had got it right down to a game winning shot. Great block at the end though.

Yes. A blocking call one end is suddenly not the same call at the other end 30 seconds later. But not a total hose job by the refs. The Nets knew exactly what was going to happen. A shame Lowry couldn't get the ball to an open man but he was literally surrounded by Nets players at that point. There was such a heads up play by Ross in that game where he hustled to get the ball and was going out of bounds and threw it back in to bounce it off PP so the Raptors got possession. Great hustle and intelligence. I think in the next couple of yrs he'll emerge as the offensive power of this team. Not convinced by Derozan tbh.

If Valancunius (or however you spell it) finds some testicles they have a good young team going forward, providing Lowry stays that is. He seems a bit pudgy to me though. Needs to buff up a little.
