The network has announced a new service available for $49.99, which will include 130 matches and plenty of additional programming.

Oh yeah - they'll be legally streamed (once you pay yer cash).

But my first thought was - I'm sure someone will stream them for free, no? I know that you can find free streams of usually subscribed services, so why wouldn't this be any different? TBH I'd happily pay 50 bucks for a season's worth of content.

Thoughts?

Thats not bad, awhile a go sky had the prem plus pass and that was £60 on top of your sky cost and now you need sky and BT to catch most the games.

If you're based in the US then it's a no-brainer.
If you're not in the US then you'll need a VPN, which will then tell NBC that you're based in the US.
However, from my own experience, NBC (as well as others) are starting to clamp down on VPN usage, so the streams can be a bit hit and miss.

Its all about TSN for me now, (Canadian), show virtually every match but in 60fps...i wasn't using my NBC account for the last 1/3 of last season because of this so wasn't aware NBC were having issues, i'll probably still get an NBC sub next year as a fallback option.
