Sorry but i've got a bee in my arse and it's not just Nike, the prices for kits young kids is not on really, especially when you have more than one of the little fuckers.
They really are pricing youngsters out of football it seems (i know it's been heading this way for a while)

Maybe i'm getting old and grumpy but i'm amazed they can't put a cap on how often football teams can change the home kit for example and just let teams change away and 3rd kits yearly.

Otherwise clubs should be maid to put 100 percent of any profits from youth/toddler kits into grass roots football (maybe they do but i've not heard of it)

Apologies for whinging but i'm lighter in the pocket than i was this morning and now i found beer!

:bag:

The only way that they will drop prices is if people don't buy them. So you are part of the problem.

To be fair last season a baby kit was £42, now it's £40.
Last season the next two sizes up from that were £74 a kit, now it's £45.
The next sizes up are more expensive but UA & Nike are very different, it's £6 more for the bigger youth shirt & £5 more for adult.
Plus rather than with UA for example last season, the home and away shorts were almost identical and same colour, this season the home is also the away so it's saves money there if you're buying those bigger sizes and having to fork out for two kits. Plus £1 less in those kid sizes.

Last season example - YXL home shirt £42, YXL home shorts £26, socks £12.
YXL away shirt £42, YXL away shorts £26, socks £12.
Total = £160
This season example - XLB home shirt £48, XLB home/away shorts £25, socks £15
XLB away shirt £48, socks £15
Total = £151
Expensive - yes but cheaper than Under Armour in recent years.

UA was about quality which is very good, Nike is about brand name more. Spurs heard most fans calling for Nike and they got what they wished for, which is more aesthetically pleasing design & the biggest brand out there, what that also means is a slightly less quality material and slightly more expensive due to the name.

Home kits have changed every season now for 15 years also. It's not really a new thing, it's just the thing.

I'm still wearing my Pony Holsten shirt I wear all my shirts regularly. To be honest I think that old Pony Holsten shirt is so tough I am sure there is horse hair and wool in the material, although rough on the skin it still looks brand new ( except for the Steve Perryman signature I got a few years back:)

:pompous: We never had a Pony shirt sponsored by Holsten :pompous:

Got the elite shirt for my birthday. The sizing sucks, got a large but it hangs quite poorly, tempted to swap it for a medium but imagine it will be too tight to relax in. The material is nice tho, can feel the difference between that and the stadium but the cut sucks. Fine for playing football in and running but for 89 quid I would quite like to be able to wear it outside of a 5 a side pitch.
lol so the players have to wear an oversize match shirt so some guy can laze on his sofa more comfortably?

why didn't you get a medium stadium as they are a looser cut to the player issue elite?

You are right, why didn't they take my measurements before the designed the template. Really poor show by Nike.

Well as it was a gift I didn't really choose. For what it's worth, I have a adizero Columbia kit and the fit and material is incredible, nicely fitted without being skin tight. I just personaly don't think his fits as well.

There's no chance of them ever making it to the Nike store in Taiwan, although they do have the Chelsea one.

I'll be in Toronto & NY this summer tho. Does anyone know if they have them there?

I know the Nike store in Chicago got a ton of them so I'd assume the NY one would have them.

The distribution in the US seems to be miles above the UA kit.

Regarding the actual pics of it in game: that white seems very white. Love it.

Interesting to see the Academy lads wear the "Stadium" replica shirt for games, rather than the "Elite" version - was the same in the Under Armour kits too

I have always thought they make academy players wear oversized/ill fitting shirts to make them look undeveloped in the eyes of any rival club scouts watching on considering the approach most scouts take to only target the more physically developed youngsters.
