Isn’t teal similar to the light blue away kits of the early 80s?

Nah the ones you're thinking of were more turquoise or some of them sky blue.

Teal is like a "darker" version of turquoise e.g.

Today we can show you the full Tottenham 18-19 away kit, expanding on our last post detailing the colors and first hints on the design. In the club's second season with Nike, the Tottenham 2018-2019 jerseys are expected to be launched earlier than they were this summer.

Just like in the Nike debut season, the Tottenham 18-19 away jersey is navy, with white being used for the Swoosh on the right chest. While some might be disappointed at the lack of variation from Nike, it's safe to say that dark blue is easily Spurs' most iconic away color.

Despite sharing the base color, the Tottenham 2018-2019 away kit looks nothing like its predecessor. This is thanks to the fact that the Nike Tottenham Hotspur 2018-2019 away shirt prominently features turquoise / teal in the form of a bold graphic on the sleeves.

Finally, the shield around the club crest found on this season's Spurs uniforms is gone in 2018-19.

Template-wise, the Tottenham 2018-19 away jersey is of course based on the latest iteration of Nike's infamous Vapor template. Barcelona's 2018 training kit serves as an early preview.

Navy shorts and socks are expected to complete the Tottenham 18-19 away kit.

Not sure I like that at all but then again, I'm not really a fan of that template that Nike are going to be using for a lot of next season. Really don't like those sleeves. This seasons was so much more slick and clean. Hopefully it's just a case of it looking better when on the players and shown in promotion and such.

Here's a mockup of what the home could look like based on reports of how it will be. Whether it will look like this or not I don't know but I can't say I like a gradient effect on any shirt to be honest.

This would never happen imo

Yeah, they both look horrible With the home and the supposed gradient effect, one can only hope it's quite minimal...

With that template though and the sleeve design, I think very few colour schemes could work. Is a horrible design.

A few pictures of the design in real life, which doesn't look as but thats when the sleeve pattern colour is basically the same as that of the sleeve.

I think the home kit would look nice with that sleeve pattern done in blue. Keep the rest of the shirt white though. I think that would be smart. Blue shorts and socks too.

No, the sleeves should always be the same colour as the rest of the jersey. To have different-coloured sleeves is too reminiscent of Le Scum de Woolwich.

No issue with the away strip, its fine. Not sure about the home. Would be slightly bearable with just the stripes at the bottom ( actually takes away from the red AIA logo) but the sleeves are gopping.

That home one is just a mock up of how it could look based off rumours mind. I have a feeling the sleeves will be as shown but we don't know the extent of the gradient effect.

Won't have a massive problem with those sleeves on the home as I guess they'd look like the that on the France away top which doesn't look greatly bad to me. It's just what the rest of the shirt will contain.

Glad the shield is gone, but the rest of the design, albeit mock-ups that are probably wrong, is horrendous.
