I disagree. They fit exactly with what Nike are doing with all their World Cup kits. I’m pretty sure these will pretty much be our shirts... neuanced differences are more than possible, but these are them people.

I was making a (crap) joke, every year the kit leaks and people go a bit weird shouting fake if they don't like it, a few years ago they were convinced a girl wearing the new shirt was a cycling shirt that for some reason someone had made.

Yeah they may be similar but I assume everyone is aware those images aren't real kits. They're made by a Turkish guy.

from moussa on coys: These mirror kits are apparently the real designs I'm afraid, as confirmed by an indirect source I have at nike (friend of a friend). He said a lot of people dont like it, including Levy.
[Edit] I misunderstood my friend - Levy doesnt have a strong opinion on the kits. he is unhappy with some other stuff going on with Nike.

Maybe unhappy with the production volume of certain items? Lost revenue there, with a lot of items seeming to go Out of Stock pretty quickly and not get re-stocked (the Elite Away kit, for example, sold out within a few weeks and never got a restock).

If they're real, they're pretty nasty. I mean, away kits are often nasty, whatever, but that home kit is a shocker. Looks like a bad Hawaiian shirt or the TV AM logo. And with tucking in shirts being mandatory now, will you even see all of the fade at the bottom? Seems like an illogical design to me, it doesn't transfer to practicality.

But anyway, whatevs. If they're real, though (always the caveat) I think Nike are doing a sterling job in putting to bed this lie that it matters who makes the kits in terms of design quality, as Adidas, Under Armour and even Kappa have made better ones for us, aesthetically. What Nike really gives you (or should do) is better marketing and bigger distribution

These kits aren't great, but I think the home with Navy shorts will look fine, and that's what we wear 90% of the time.

I think the quality of the Nike stuff is better, and I'm more than happy to have them as our sponsor, but we were the top club at Under Armour and received a lot of special attention. Chelsea made an abrupt switch to Nike AFTER we had finalized our deal, so we are playing second fiddle in London now.

The reality is that we're Tier 2 at Nike. City, Chelsea, PSG, Barca, and Roma are mega-clubs that feature in ever single shop in the world. It's surprising we receive as much attention as we do, and we should have recognized that when we signed with Nike.

I'm sure they will be the kits, the home and away at least but it's better to judge after the players model them I think. Is like Under Armour's last home shirt with us, I really didn't like the shirt itself but thought it looked really nice with the navy shorts and socks.

I think that's an important point. Like it or not even though our kits are now made by one of the top companies, we're presumably very low down in their list of most important clubs. To put it in perspective we apparently average about 268,000 shirt sales per season globally while Arsenal and Liverpool sell over 800,000 Chelsea sell over 900,000 and Man Utd shit all over everyone selling 1,750,000. In the world of shirt sales, we're absolute minnows unfortunately.

Man I’d love to have had Adidas kits again. Quality stuff.

Funny you should say that, here's the rumored 18/19 United kit. Apparently, gradients are IN!
