If twice the number of people buy the shirt they can half the price. It's math innit.
The price was half. People stopped buying them because the price went up. The fans haven’t gone anywhere (other than into middle age and probably shouldn’t be buying kits anyway). But the next generation of kit wearers are getting robbed.

Totally agree! I'm approaching 30, as a kid my dad used to buy me the new kit every summer as the launch usually coincided with my birthday- embarrassingly he still continues this tradition to this day. However, my little one is now getting into football but there is no way I will be spending that sort of money on a new shirt for her every year. I recently bought her last season's kit in the clearance sale and that is how it will be for her moving forward.

It’ll have to get to a stage like the away tickets where they have to cap the prices, if only on the kids kits.

Much better: (not my account or work!)

Never understood why kit makers struggle with us. White shirt, blue shorts and if we're in Europe then white shirt, white shorts. We'll still buy the kit and the makers will have the added extra of happy Spurs fans.

It looks better on Harry than it does on a hanger

Tbf clothes tend to look better on a professional athlete who has been worked on by a professional make-up artist and had the photo taken by a professional photographer than it would on a hanger in a photo taken by a fan with their camera phone in Sports Direct.

Any ideas on what the third kit will look like? Seen some twitter stuff that it'll be green?

Didn't we used to stagger the launch of the home and away kit so we'd get one each year but not both at the same time?

We used to keep our home kit for two seasons and would have a new away kit every year (and god knows how many third kits!).

When we switched from kappa to under armour I think we joined all the other money grabbers and started releasing new home and away kits every season.

Up until kappa we kept home shirt for two seasons, apart from one of the adidas home shirts as we only had them making our kits for three seasons so deal must have run out.

Seems acceptable practice now, but I remember back in late 90's I believe :)oldman:) that Man U were getting stick for releasing too many kits.

Middlesbrough oddly were one of the first teams that started changing their home kit every season and remember thinking they were greedy ****s at the time (especially given they weren't exactly one of the top teams...).

I like the green third kit that's been posted (not sure if official or not as can't be arsed to check).

I do wish we'd have a yellow kit though.

The first kit looks quite horrific if you're just wearing it without the actual shorts.. Third kit best imo. Worth a punt getting Bale on the back? :sneaky:
