Coys are another spurs based football forum. The ITK's have all proven their links and shared where thet get their info from with someone over at COYS to get reconised as a true ITK and not someone who is just making it up....

Not everything they get passed on will come off, so as Stoof has already said, always take with a pintch of salt

His company has not been doing well, but since he sold a load of shares in it for about £650 million earlier in the year, I suspect he's reasonably flush.

How much more does someone nned to have to be considered Flush or even well off.

I would have put the £650 million in the 'doesn't struggle with the council tax each month' bracket which is one up from reasonably flush.

On the news, why would Ashley and a golf course owner have any links to the Barcelona manager. It all sounds a bit like the fiesta that is election time in Spain...

Ashley's consortium: If you sell to me then I will give you Rijkaard (if there are spelling issues then sorry)

Klinsmanns consortium: I will see you Rijkaard and raise you ... me

Levy: If I am re-elected, I can give you possibly Ramos or a Special one

It all seems a bit pantomime (Cue the calls of 'Oh no it doesn't')

He hates the city slickers. You can make numbers say anything, and by depressing them he will be able to buy back the company privately. He is very friendly with Richard Caring and Phillip Green .Richard and Phillip do everything together, although Philip told me that despite being a life long Spurs fan he would never buy a club. But maybe he has changed his mind. If he has that triumvate would have more than enough to buy the club fron ENIC,build a new stadium and put millions into the team. This rumour has been going around for some time now,but seems to be gathering momentum ,so who knowa.

I suspect the majority of them are fantasists mate. Take no notice of it. Some people claim there are a couple of reputable ITKs, who they are, I don't personally know.

Isn't Ashley in cahoots with Kelmsley? Isn't that a more likely combo?

And more importantly do they actually have more money than Levy and co anyway?

And more more importantly where the hell did Rijkaards name suddenly come from? Would he really be a good choice anyway? Wouldn't we have to wait until the end of the season? Wouldn't all this takeover shenanigans disrupt the team? Wouldn't the new owners want some sort of evidence of plans for the new stadium (plans which I'm relatively sure don't exist). Wouldn't it all be easier if we just went and supported Stenhousmuir?

That was my old PE teachers team of choice. He would take a bet of a mars bar as to whethr they would win or lose every week with a different student from his form.

It wouldn't hugely surprize me if this were true - at least the part suggesting Ashley, Caring, Green & Kemsley are considering buying the club from ENIC.

Firstly, there were lots of rumours that when Ashley bought Newcastle from Fat Freddy's sickbed that he hadn't had a proper look at the books, and that when his accountants did pore over them, they were pretty horrified. Whereas with Spurs, Kemsley is on our board so must know everything there is to know, and our finances are much more transparent, and frankly professionally run. So, if Ashley has a buyer lined up for the Geordies, he may well very want to get his fortune out and invested in a proper, and financially secure, club.

Also, it may well be that Kemsley has identified a viable ground development/move strategy, which would make Spurs a much more attractive business proposition for the likes of Caring and Green (as well as Ashley).

It would also explain The Observer claims that Klinsmann has been phoning Joe Lewis to find out his intentions, and why the Klinsmann-for-Spurs story was published over the weekend. If it was a real story, it could only have come from one source - Jurgen himself. And if he represents an alternative consortium interested in Spurs, then he could have decided to brief a journalist anonymously.

The part of the Ashley et al story that makes no sense to me is Rijkaard. There are rumours he's fed up with the politics of Barca, but coaching a non-Champions League team seems like a huge drop down.

We shall see.

Hasn't Ashley gone from recluse to cavorting in Newcastle nightclubs wearing a Barcodes shirt?

Crackers is not JKG's uncle, stoof. That's 'ackneyboy.

Ah dammit. I always confuse those two.

:-( Haven't been on FTL for an age, to be fair. Not even lurking.

I also believe he got turned away until the bouncer was reminded "who 'e was" and allowed in despite dress-codes.

Makes a farce of rules like that doesn't it really?

So we can look forward to him putting in an appearance at the Coolbury Club, then?

As for Ashley squeezing into a Barcodes shirt, if I had eighty million quid invested in a business, I'd want to make sure the customers (fans) thought I was a true supporter. Alternately, he could suddenly have discovered a sincere and overwhelming passion for all things Geordie...

Below is a link to a late August Times piece claiming Ashley was investigating selling Newcastle to a consortium to make a quick profit:

It would be almost worth it to see hordes of distraught Geordies chucking themselves into the Tyne.
