The front row seats are underneath the pitch? Or am I missing something? :cautious:

Perspective. The view is higher than both the seats and the pitch but because the pitch is further away it looks higher.
Same as if you are on a mountain looking out to sea. The horizon will look a lot higher than the beach houses at the bottom of the mountain. Which obviously can't be the case.

33 trays are locked together to make one moving piece as are the other two other trays made up of 33 sections/. Really. That’s only three moving parts. I suspect they would have made each of them in one piece if possible but clearly it is not. Yes, if there were 99 individual sections moving out separately that would be difficult.

Yes, it was for logistical reasons as these larger pieces would have been impossible to deliver by road.

I could be completely wrong but i don't think any seats are removed when converting from Football to NHL use but I think maybe the front few rows of the south stand lift out of the way while the pitch is rolling then back into original position? i assume it is on jacks similar to the surrounds of the pitch that will lower/raise to the correct height of the pitch?

The front rows of all stands are meant to be at the correct level for both functions and i don't think we have any temp seating or capacity changes other than for potential fan segregation or safe standing implementation?

I am interested to see it in operation too, as I am not sure if the quoted 30mins related to rolling the turf pitch in and out or if it included all the work needed to get both pitches 'match ready'... you have the great big NFL goal to put up and take down and i bet the grounds men will be out with their forks having a good prod! in reality i would guess an hour or more from true start to finish but will be super impressed if its the 30mins THFC have been talking about.

Wont the front row of seats of the south stand need to be removed before the pitch is retracted, or was i dreaming again?

That was the message I got, there will be no removal of any seating for the NFL so that it won't appear to be a stadium with temporary conversions to shoehorn in an NFL game like Wembley.
What they are laying seems too high so they are either our pitch trays or more likely as was posted earlier can be lowered.

I'm only on page 1406, so apologies if this has since been posted. This pretty much answers all of your questions...

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet (had a quick check, saw nothing) but there's a 360 video on Facebook 360 of the roof lift.

It's on the home page on Oculus Go, but I don't know if there's anything other ways of seeing it. It's shot from where the centre spot would be I think.

I don't really understand we they aren't adding roof cassettes at both the north and south ends, joining up in the middle.

It's a circle. Whichever end you start it will meet up eventually.

I am sure Mase/Engineers have thought about this quanudrum long & hard. ?

They probably started at the sides because there's still construction work going on at the south end and they were putting up that viewing platform thing at the north end.

Safety is the primary concern but I would assume there is a structural aspect to it too.

I don’t know why people are so fixated on the roof installation plan. It will have been designed and modelled to create the most efficient and safest program for both contractors and the stadium itself. It’s not like a roofer has just decided what to do on a whim

Ha, OK. i'll rephrase. I don't understand why they're not woking at either end of the ground at the same time adding cassettes.

If you love spurs I strongly advise you to avoid Harry Hotspur site as it is filled with bile hate and all of the worst kind of anti spurs drivel that can only be thought up by any of West Ham;gooners;or Chelsea supporters because no self respecting spurs fan would write the stuff that Harry Hotspur turns out and this man has the gall to call himself a spurs fan

He's an absolute ****.

Pretty much went to war with him a few years ago on Twitter because he was constantly backing the Josif family (Archway Steel) and proclaiming Levy as the antichrist, some sort of evil repressor who is forcing a poor family onto the streets. (The whole argument between Peter Josif, the absolute **** and myself is in this thread somewhere)

The absolute **** was calling on supporters to get to the court and ensure everything possible is done to stop the NDP from ever coming to fruition.

The absolute **** laughed when the Josif family changed their Twitter profile pic, from one that had 'COYS' in the corner, to one that had 'FOYS'. Despite supposedly being lifelong Spurs fans.

All of the above happened, despite the absolute ****s constant proclamations that Levy/Lewis/ENIC hav absolutely no intention of building the stadium, and will be selling up as soon as they get the planning permissions they were seeking.

He's an absolute ****!

He also went mad at Levy for being too tight to pony up the necessary £45m to resign Gylfi from Swansea...what a twerp. Everything he writes about Spurs is negative towards Poch and Levy...it's odd - you would be forgiven for thinking the club was languishing near the bottom of the table rather than enjoying its best period in the last 25 years...

As this isn't the place for this particular discussion, I'll just stick with, the guy is an absolute ****.... And leave it there.

Under the pic, you state "This is the place at 7.45am"...

Yet you somehow managed to post it at 7.42am :wideyed:
This is the clever little trick that Dan is going to use that Edmonton was alluding to if needed. The ability to bend time.

Good to see you round again.
