Chances of the test event which is due for 18/19th of August actually having the Fulham game on the screens? Thought it was interesting that its pencilled in for either the 18/19th maybe leeway if the game is on TV. Also fits with the talk about Levy having something great/level planned if it were to be delayed.

Also fits his MO. Why not have one stadium open when you can have two?

When I said the building is 1/3 open I meant the glass panelling is not in for the walls.
The main contractors do not give the workers a constant update on test events and finishing dates

As said I think it’s definitely less than 1/3. Even the SW corner(shown below) is nearly 50% done and that’s happened in last week. South stand framework is virtually complete now and that glazing went in very quick. Main area is east stand which looks about 50%. But as stated I’d be very surprised if that wasn’t all done in 4-6 weeks.

1st week back working at the site since March and tbh it’s not progressed as much as I thought it would have inside and still los of work to do on the outside.
Can’t see it being ready for the Liverpool game 12th September

1st week back since March.... No wonder we are behind if you are slacking off for that long!:cautious: get back to work and get it done on time!! :sneaky:

Just keep us updated!

I thought the plan was for 3 away games first, so can see that being the plan if we were away, but to fill Wembley and our new stadium with how many we need might be a bit too much.

Whatever it is it is. If I have to wait til Xmas then so be it. Honestly not the end of the world. I’d rather have a finished looking product - or a pretty close one than a tidy building site. Want it to be an event when we move in.

Isn't the reason why areas are left "open" is to get materials in/out for the interior build?

It's like trying to move a bed into a 4th floor flat via the stairs or via the very open no windows bedroom.

Not sure I’ll bother keeping you all updated to be honest after all the neg reps and back and fourths with poster disagreeing

If a ST holder had to choose between a live home game versus the first event at WHL it’s a tough ask. I don’t think you’ll get many happy punters having to choose between the two.

Personally, I'd be hugely surprised if the sound in there is any different to any other stadia, because I don't think it will be.

There's lots of talk about reverb times etc going on. Wembley has a massive reverb time and everyone complains about the "atmosphere" in there.

Adding more reflectivity and reverb won't help people sing in time. It'll just sound less defined and washy because the RT60 will be increased.

It might sound a bit louder, maybe, but I don't know how a design such as a stadium, with a large hole in the roof, will sound hugely different to another one.

Largely the bigger you go, the more undefined/echoey everything becomes.

I've seen nothing of the roof structure so far that suggests to me it'll be any different. The shape and size of the stadium as a whole will have a greater effect.

Maybe the lengths have been calculated so certain frequencies get amplified etc, and don't null. Who knows.
I haven't seen any mention of acoustic absorption anywhere so I'm assuming they're going for lively.

Which could just sound muddled. Like Wembley.

I’d welcome that. With the greatest respect, and appreciation of your motives, I’d rather rely on updates from official sources.

Some of you are so anal it even makes my butt hurt.

Why the hell would they set the dates if they didn't think they were on plan?

I've got no doubt there'll be some finishing happening through to the winter, but as for holding matches looks like there ain't that much to do in the grand scheme of things. Don't forget the east side is destined to be NFL focused which I can only presume is why it's looking a like there's a lot more work to do.

Will it be finished? No.

Will it be ready for Football Matches? Yes.

No chance of them showing the Fulham game on the big screen at the new stadium! Why would they makes no sense? Taking fans away from the actual game!
